Great, but not perfect
REVIEW UPDATE: 4/19/13 Terrible. The ballooning effect really makes things difficult. I can't seem to ever get enough air out the bag to allow a consistent squeeze of icing. More recently I was working with piping out churros and the bag ripped a seam. I officially hate these bags. I hate the idea of going to disposable bags, but they seem like the best option in terms of performance. I have yet to find a reusable style that won't eventually grease up after use. ********* After a few years of exclusively using the plastic coated types, I've happily moved on to silicon. These are super easy to clean, which was my biggest concern. I like that I can drop in my decorative tips with no coupler, and I like the textured outside which does offer a little extra grip. The best part is these don't seep, weep, or get greasy like the plastic coated fabric type pastry bags. The only draw back I can mention is these are a little harder to squeeze air out of. They are basically like balloons, and occasionally get air pockets trapped inside. That can be a real bummer when you're in the middle of a cupcake decorating streak. My advice is to purchase the larger bags. Don't fill them all the way, and squeeze as much air out as you can.

My first silicone bag
I bought this along with Fat Daddio's 4 piece Coupler set, and Fat Daddio's 60- Piece polycarbonate Master Pastry Tube Set. Before this I had used disposable bags. It felt so wasteful, and I often ran out of bags. I have used this for buttercream, merinque, and melted chocolate. It has worked very well for all but the thickest of frostings. When the frosting is thick and stiff, sometimes the bag wants to stretch instead of releasing the product. But even when it stretches the coupler stays in place. Besides the stretching I find cleaning the bags a bit difficult. They won't stay in place in the dishwasher, and when I hand clean them after buttercream they still don't feel "clean". I still use disposable bags from time to time, but I bought two of these and they are my go to bag. I would say I am very happy, and would recommend it. But if you get fed up with hard to clean items, you might want to stick to disposable.

OMG!
I wasn't sure if i would like this bag. I think it is easier to jut throe the bags away than cleaning them. This bag is amazing! Helps keep the icing in the bag and is SUPER easy to clean. I will be buying more. I am a huge fan!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Not good for sugar
I bought these specifically to pipe sugar, the description says good for sugar. It most definitely is not true!! Melted the bag.

**Disclaimer: I'm only giving this pastry bag 4 stars because I haven't used it yet. The bag is a surprisingly pleasant shade of orange; bright enough to be comical but not so bright that it's going to give me a headache whole looking at it. It arrived folded neatly in a Fat Daddio box, with no rips, tears, or other defects. The material is thin, but feels sturdy. The 15 3/4 seems like a really workable size; I was nervous that it would be too big, since I'm only using it for macarons, but it seems just right. Like I said, I haven't used it yet, but unless something crazy happens I'm very pleased with it.

My new favorite pastry bag!
I have bought my fair share of pastry bags over 20+ years of baking and cake decorating. I have tried them all from cloth bags to disposable bags to the plastic vinyl-type bags. I hate the idea of always throwing away the disposable ones as it is such a waste but at times the other types seemed like they were expensive disposable bags too! And then, I have found these little gems from Fat Daddio! Wow, I have a new favorite. These bags are extremely durable (dare I say indestructible), and work great with piping chocolate. The cleanup is soooo wonderful as I can just place in the dishwasher and NOTHING (to this date) has stained these bags. The outside seems to have a rough surface that makes the grip on the bag really good too.

Great solution for hot surfaces
Most of my pastry bag needs are met on the fly - I'll roll up parchment or snip a plastic bag. Although I cook a lot at home, I've never really liked fabric pastry bags nor seen the need to special disposable ones. My tween bought theSunbeam FPSBDML920 Donut Maker, Yellow a while back and needed something heat resistant to use with it. The Fat Daddio has a nice feel - it isn't needlessly thick like some silicone kitchen products. While thin, it turns inside out for cleaning easily, I don't feel like I'm going to tear it. It's easy to twist, easy to fill. Good solution to a new problem.

Easy to clean. Love the texture. I use it without any heads for now. Will have to find some heads to fit it in the future. Worth the price for sure.

not as tough as it says
sadly i had used my pastry bag a couple of times doing cream puffs and noticed a little rip/tear in it and when i use it now it comes out the side :( ☹ not happy
