Quality, and even more adorable than pictured!

Cast iron. Well molded. Charming! "No!" message was neatly colored on all four of the dogs I ordered. The "rust" some buyers complained of is a hand-painted rust-colored design detail that is lightly and artfully applied about the edges. It makes the doggy look shabby chic, and less like a salt dough kinder project, don't cha know! For perfectionists that want a perfect "No!" colored over the entirety of the raised lettering and exclamation mark, a fine-tipped Sharpie marker is a perfect match -- just have a steady hand and don't obsess too much, and end up making a mess of this cutie! I love the tip of some of the other reviewers to spray some Rustoleum protectant on them before using, and that just makes good sense since they will be outside in all types of weather. They are shipped carefully. They are covered with a piece of cardboard paper, and then thoroughly wrapped in bubble wrap, taped up, bagged, boxed, and then sent off to their new forever homes. I am planning on putting them outside once I have sprayed them with the protectant. Also, this sign is solid, but as it's top heavy (dog is much larger than the ground stake), it makes sense that extra care should be taken when placing it in the ground so that the stake doesn't break. I think I'll probably do a starter hole with a narrower stick or dowel before I try jamming the stake into potentially hard or rocky soil. Lastly, I chose this version versus the black or brown as I thought this would show up better (white being reflective). I'm certainly hoping for good results, and hope that no one will take my little dogs because they're that cute that I'm sure it will be tempting to do so.

Rusted after 2 months

Definitely get attention

Definitely gets attention from dog walkers! They reign their dogs in! Slightly weathers over the years and looks attractive in the garden. I have not seen a dog utilize my flower garden for the purposes other than smelling the roses!

Beware, 13.5 inches Height includes the stake section.

Made of heavy metal, feels like cast iron which i like but the sign is quite smaller than add states. The height of the sign listed includes the stake so it is only about half the listed height. Looks cool but kinda bummed...

A good product that serves the purpose

I ordered this product as we had issues with people letting their pets use our front lawn for their "nature's call". As compared with other signs, this one appeared to be the politest way to convey the message. 1. You may find it smaller than expected, however after using it for few months now, it now seems about the right size; definitely big enough to get attention of pet owners. Our front lawn is about 20 yards wide and we have placed it in the center. 2.Very easy to insert in the ground and holds pretty well. 3. Only complain is that it is not painted well (somewhat chipping) and has a rusty look to it. Therefore 4 stars. I am thinking of painting it. Without this it will still last a while as it is built real solid. Issue resolved right after installation. However since then some angry neighbor started letting his dog use our drive way at the back of the house. Instead of putting another sign, we installed security camera and that is working equally well with added security! :)

Successful at stopping the individual who has been allowing their dog to ???? on my lawn.

Larger than I expected from a review I read, easily seen on my large lawn. I live on an open plan estate and somebody has been allowing their dog to ???? on my lawn regularly without cleaning up afterwards. This sign appears to have been successful as no more ???? for the last few days. Fingers crossed! The spike is very strong and I was able to push it into my hard clay soil very easily. My neighbours also find it funny and I have had no complaints about it.

Nice clear 'no dog poop' sign

After picking up 10 lots of dog poop from my front lawn I decided to take action and order a 'no dog poop ' sign. I think I may have shamed the culprits owner as after 4 days with the sign There hasn't been a single dog mess on my lawn. I wish they made a sign that said ' irresponsible owners give dogs a bad name '!!!!!!!

OUR NEW DOG SIGN WORKS. We bought this sign after installing a Smart Cam, and catching our neighbour on our garden at the front of the house, with his dog on its lead urinating & trampling all over our flowers. It is no only a deterrent, also a constant reminder to him of what he had done. I would recommend this item.

Fun way to get a message across

Well hopefully this will put a stop to people letting their dogs foul on my front lawn. Caused quite a bit of hilarity with my neighbours so am sure it will be taken in the right way. Good sturdily made product and not expensive for what it is. Not particularly big but being white it stands out well.
