Over all a good 4 in 1 coat

I purchased this coat back in the summer, A good price for it being a 4 in1 coat. Wore the vest and then the vest with the sleeves during the fall. I like the fact the the outer shell is a lot like a rain jacket, except for 3 things. I have worn this in both a snow storm and rain, the nice pockets of the outer jacket are great except for the "flaps" do not protect the pocket from filling up with snow and or rain, everything I had it the pocket was soaked even with the "flaps" snapped down. Also the breast pocket for your cellphone or what ever you want to put in it "flap" which closes and secures the pocket is not large enough both width and length to cover the pocket opening, after walking in the snow and rain the pocket FILLS up with snow and water which in turn my cellphone was in water about a 1/2 inch deep, I was surprised my cellphone didn't get water logged. I would say make the "flap" about 2 inches longer and wider and put in some weep holes to drain what ever water gets in. There needs to be a zipper that zips in 2 directions so you don't have to completely unzip the coat to get into your pockets or anything else that you would have to do!!! I really like the coats both outer jacket and vest lengths it doesn't climb up you back like short waisted coats do.. I would by again and would recommend this coat but be aware of the pockets. Would have given it a straight 5 across the board and will when they fix the pocket problem.

Not sized correctly

Currently wear a size "4XL Tall" (in Carhartt and others), and while it was a nearly perfect fit with a hoody under it, I am getting bigger (around the middle). This item in size "5XL" left a nearly THREE INCH gap open at the zipper... I could NOT even get it close to being able to zip it up... and that is WITHOUT the hoody-layer applied. I would have to guess that the size 5XL in this item is the equivalent to a size 3XL... or maybe even a 2XL in most other brands that I have used. As this item does not fit me, I am unable to review it beyond that. We are going to see if another member of our circle might be able to use this coat before we attempt to return it.

A Coat For All Seasons

I tried purchasing this Ergodyne GloWear at a Major Name Police Supply Store. A week later they said it was out od stock, so I turned to Amazon. Not only did I get the GloWear 5 days earlier I save a good deal of money. I have used this coat multiple times. I love the heavy duty zippers on the exterior and for the lining. I use the "shell" without lining in cool weather and have used it over my winter coat. I have used the jacket with the lining and I have worn just the interior portion. In the spring I will remove the sleeves and try the vest. The coat is very warm. To date I've been outdoors in 10 Degree temperature and was quite warm. This product is ideal in all weather and all temperatures and you are easily seen. The Ergodyne GloWear ANSI High Visibility 4-in-one Safety Jacket exceeded my expectations. I'm 6'4" Tall and weigh 265 Pounds. The 3XL fits great and I have room to grow, just a little bit more. This product is truly "A Coat for All Seasons. I highly recommend this product.

Versatile jacket!

This is a great jacket, especially for the money. Waterproof, warm, well made and versatile. And it is really bright! My wife bought this for me to wear for bicycling and walking. It's great for weather conditions in both extremes and everything in between. Warm in the very cold conditions of winter in the Midwest. As the weather warms you can peel off the outer shell, and then the sleeves, leaving a bright reflective vest. It's very functional and constructed to last.

Size seems to run smaller then carhartt.

Seems to be a really nice coat. But the size runs small. I ordered and got a xxx-Large cause that's what my other coats are but this one is to tight. So I'm going to be returning it for a XXXXL. Got the 4XL and it's too small also in the stomach. But the shoulders are bigger. That's not where I need it bigger. So returned it. It's a shame I like the way these look and I'd like to have a longer coat. So I'm now going to try their bomber jacket on a 3XL.

A great coat

This jacket served it's purpose this past weekend. We got hit with a Nor'easter. It proved itself to be warm and waterproof when I was forced to go out in the weather.

Very happy with this jacket.

Truck driver here. I love how this jacket can be worn 4 days, depending on the weather. It is also quick to alter it. It's been a few months and I'm still very happy with it.
