Have been trying various puppy pads since my pup arrived at the end of fall, and weather got colder, it was hard to train her or want to walk her daily when it got really cold out. I have bought at least 5-6 other brands to try, and rank these as my least favorite. They attract the pup to go, so no problems there. But there is no odor eliminator on these pads and they are really thin. I like to try and stretch the pads out as long as I can, meaning, not change them daily if possible. Since I rent, and am supposed to be moving out soon, I haven’t let my puppy wander around my entire place, as there’s too much stuff laying around, and carpet upstairs. I keep her in my room most of the time, and due to her size, she’s a small little thing. She is approaching 7 months in another week, and would estimate she weighs around 5.5-6.5 pounds. My past dog was a Maltepoo who weighed about 10ish pounds full grown, and could jump like a circus animal. My new puppy is a Yorkie poo, who is shorter but also precocious, so haven’t mastered her feeling confident to move on stairs, unless we are outside and it’s absolutely necessary, even when we walk upstairs she gets a bit nervous. I bring this up because she stays on the bed with me 90% of the time, she sleeps on the bed with me, and I only put her in her crate when I am out or habe company over. Thus the reason I mention all this is because unlike most people who use pads on the floor, I use them on the end of my bed. At first i did it the second or third day I had her because she was kn my bed and my mum went to visit and she got excited and peed a bit so wanted to make sure I could prevent as little accidents as possible. I use a flat sheet on the end of the bed folded a couple times, and a waterproof dog blanket I purchased months ago on Amazon. Then I put three puppy pads on it. I also cut any pads that aren’t soiled and use them sometimes for underneath pads I think aren’t as absorbent. While many will find this gross, it works for me, and with the weather getting warmer, hopefully it won’t be like this forever, but she does have a small bladder, but it’s defintirly not as it was when she was 3 months or eben 5 months old. Still I find these to be the least favorite, or at least a tie with another one I got by a different brand. For the price I paid which was around $5 for a 14 pack, to try, it wasn’t a bad deal. But I wouldn’t buy any more in the future by this brand.
