Help with batteries / getting it to work -
UPDATE REVIEW - I think my g/f is going to leave me for this thing. Jeez - :) Seriously! It's THAT good. She loves it, I love using it with her. If you're thinking about this but have read the negative reviews due to it not working, leaking, etc. READ ON - I wrote the earlier review upon receipt but prior to 'field testing' - marvelous!! :) Okay - this isn't an 'operational' review but a 'how to put the batteries in so they work' review. While there are no instructions, you MAY need to take the batteries out and put them back in ONE time if you don't get them in 'right' the first time. The ENTIRE issue with this unit rests on TWO major points - the metal contact INSIDE the screw-on cap MUST rest on top of the battery with the '+' tip with the top screwed down TIGHT! If you have the batteries in wrong, you will have to loosen the top to get the metal contact in the screw-on cap to align with the '+' battery terminal and THAT will allow moisture to get in AND it will cause the screw-on top to move around when you're attempting to adjust the speed of this thing. Here's what I did to 'properly align' the battery posts with the screw-on cap. WITHOUT batteries - screw the cap on tightly and notice that the small rubber water-proof seal is compressed (mashed down). Then draw a line from the screw-on cap to the body of the vibrator. Unscrew the cap being careful to not rub off the lines you drew. Hold the screw-on cap away from the vibrator body and align the two lines and see where the metal battery contact tab is at INSIDE the cap - it'll be lined up with one of the slots for the battery or the other. The slot that lines up with the metal cap should have a AA battery in it with the '+' side facing UP. Put that battery in and then put the opposite battery in with the '-' (negative) side UP. Put the cap back on and screw it down TIGHT once again to compress the waterproof seal. NOTE - it will be a little harder to compress the seal this time because you have batteries in it and the batteries are pressing against the bottom of their wells against other contacts. If it still doesn't work after this - unscrew the cap again, rotate it about a half-turn and screw it on tight again - I didn't look really hard but there may be the ability for the cap to engage the threads on another half-turn (not unusual with these types of 'devices). My girlfriend and I will get to try this out Friday - so I may have an 'operational' report for everyone later. Bottom line is that it's a 'toy' that uses batteries. Get the battery problem fixed and then go enjoy playing with the toy.

Great value, a bit confusing to start!
I ordered this direct from Amazon with a few other items. It took almost a week and a half to arrive, but did get here two days before the estimated date. When I opened the package, it did have a bit of a plastic-y smell. It smelled sort of like those inflatable toys you can win at the local fair. This item doesn't come with any instructions whatsoever, so you are left to yourself to try and figure out how to insert the batteries. I had to try a couple different configurations, and then only by accident did I somehow get it to turn on for a few seconds. I figured I had the batteries in correctly at that point, and I had read the other reviews, so I knew that this particular item might be a bit finicky. What the problem is, is that the batteries have to make a connection with both the inside metal tab and the one on the screw on cap. And if you have the batteries inserted too far in, the metal on the twist cap won't make contact because they are nearly flush with the lid. So to fix it I just pulled the batteries partially out, then screwed the lid on slowly until it started vibrating, and I knew it had a good connection. So it's kind of a pain to get this thing started, prepare to fiddle with it for a bit. Because of the battery difficulties and lack of instruction, I can't give this five stars. But overall this vibrator is very good for it's purpose. It has quite a few modes from slow and easy to all-out numb. Anyone should be able to find their perfect spot within this range. It also has an amazing shape, so much better than your average straight vibe. The head isn't wide like I thought from the photo, but more shaped sort of like an egg with a bit of a tip. The shape makes it able to reach very well to lots of places in lots of positions. It isn't small, so if you have any difficulties with insertion, you might want to look elsewhere. At the same time, it isn't huge so it doesn't give you that overly full feeling. It is a very nice middle of the road vibe that would probably be great for any beginner, though some may need lube to help get it in! Or a helping hubby :)

Still "Satisfied" ;) **1 year update**
I've had a handful of vibrators...no pun intended...and most are actually not strong enough for me, as I require quite a bit of stimulation. On a power scale of 1-10, I need about an 8. The power of this vibrator is probably, to me, about a 6, which is great for some, but not what I need when it comes to clitoral stimulation. Thankfully, this product is intended for g spot stim, so it gets a break there. This is actually my first g spot toy, and I really don't have the desire to look for any others, because it REEEAAALLY does the job for me...and quickly if I need it to. Without getting into literary erotica here, (lol) I use it in more of an up and down motion...think of a car jack when changing a tire (lol)...does the trick for me! As far as the smell, yes...at first it's VERY strong...which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5...but I've had it for several months now and I wash it after each use...the smell is gone. Also, the batteries and the on/off/power control was a little tricky at first. I don't know if it's a defect or not, but at first I thought I had received a broken product because it wouldn't turn on. I later learned that it couldn't be tightened all the way in order for it to come on. Hope that makes sense. However, for me, I don't even NEED the vibration because with its shape and my motions, it's perfect. :) Enjoy! *** Update *** 10/10/13 I am still using this toy on a regular basis just over 1 year later! It is still one of my all time favorites, and I haven't felt the need to buy others because this one is SO SATISFYING. I'm in my early 30s and my hormones are changing. Let's just say this toy has had to keep up with me...lol...and it has done an excellent job. Ladies, if you've never had the pleasure of a g-spot orgasm and you're looking for a toy to help get you there, this one really worked for me. Word of caution...lay on top of a towel....or 2. Lol So fun. :)

We have bought this Vibrator twice already. Because its a great tool. But the first one broke after two weeks. First it worked from time to time, than it stopped. We reported to the seller an got our money back (Thanks therefore). But we liked the tool so we bought the second one. Well its the same story with this one. after 2-3 weeks it quit doing his job. Meanwhile i have opend the first one and saw the problem. The connection between batteriebox and cable (to the engine) is just set with a clip. this clip looses the cable soon (I guess cause of the strong vibration) and there is no connection anymore. So I wont buy a new one, cause I guess it will have the same problem. Maybe DocJohnson should considere a soldered connection to fix this problem.

Vibration ist gut wie man die Stärke einstellt nicht weil das ein dreher am Griff ist da dreht man automatisch wenn man ihn festhält nicht gut aber noch viel schlimme ist der bestialische Gestank holla also wir haben den jetzt schon sehr lange aber der Geruch geht einfach nicht weg hab ihn schon in seife eine Nacht und ein Tag eingelegt nix da
