Relief for neck pain
About a year ago my neck pain began to get so severe that I couldn't even sleep, (I have joint deterioration in the neck that will eventually require the joints be fused). I have been using these cervical collars to help stabilize my neck while sleeping since then. The Velcro attaches in the back and the foam is tapered narrower in the front to accommodate your chin. Take a rough measurement from your shoulder to your jaw to estimate how wide a version you may need. I got lucky the first time with this size at 3-1/2 inch. The good: Provides firm but not too stiff support for my neck while sleeping. It is comfortable enough that it does not irritate my skin when wearing. The less than great: the Velcro wears out. This is the fourth one I have used in the last year. Is it worth it? Yes. I would give it 5 stars if it had a closure system that would last. Hand washable, hint; I have put one of these through a washer and it was OK with air dying. If you have similar issues, I hope this helps.

Yes for support
Mine was not cut evening. It is a little taller on one side. Other wise this fits perfectly for watching tv or reading. To help support my neck and keep my head up. Phones, books , etc have caused me to always kinda keep my head down which causes soreness in my neck and shoulders. I am a female. I ordered the 2 1/2. It fits better than the other neck suppose ii order which was meant for watching tv and reading. The releaf one i had order in black, regular size. Which was around $17. I have to say i think I actually feel more comforable wearing this one. I would purchase this one again once wore out or just gross from wearing. It does not hurt or feel to tall.

Well satisfied with this collar except the velcro strap in back needs to be a little longer. I have a 17.5" neck and can get only about an inch of velcro attachment. And this item is non-returnable. The density of the padding seems right to me. And the padded portion does go barely all the way around my neck. I need the support in the back to keep my head from rocking backward too.

Just What I Needed
I have been waking with severe headaches from sleeping on my neck wrong. I fall asleep so comfortable but awake with a terrible headache. As I started moving my neck around I found the headache to ease up. This support to keep my neck straight while sleeping is great! I use an arm (tattoo) sleeve that fit perfectly as a cover, neckbrace case like a pillowcase. Comfy and good value.

It is smaller than the one I paid $$ for. It fit my neck quite well! Pretty comfortable.

Not good if on the bigger side of its capabilities
If you are on the smaller side of what this will fit, you are fine. If you are on the bigger side of its capabilities, you won't like it. The reason I say this is due to the fact that once you hit a certain point, the velcro becomes exposed/no longer is overlapped and therefore will rub against your skin which is very uncomfortable. I much prefer brands that put the rough velcro on the fixed side vs the variable side (solid side vs tag end), which prevents this from becoming an issue regardless of where the tag end falls.

Item not as described in listing
I required a 2.5" height cervical collar. Description said the collar I bought was 2.5". When I unpacked the collar it is 2.5" under the chin ONLY, the rest of the collar is 3.5" (which seller did not disclose in his description). I tried to return collar, but seller does not accept returns .

Makes a Great Travel Pillow!
This is far superior to all those awful crescent-shaped travel pillows. I use this on long-haul flights, overnight bus journeys and train rides so that I can enjoy some quality rest and wake up refreshed at my destination. It's keeps my head propped up and prevents my head from falling forward. Add an eye mask and earplugs to the mix and economy traveling will become a much more pleasant and restful experience!

Pros-----collar fits well and does the job. Cons---- in my opinion the velcro tab should be longer. It only protrudes 1 3/4". My older collar has a tab of 4" which make it more secure and more adjustable.
