Fragile & poor quality
I had purchased two statues from this company before but they were a little less than a foot tall so obviously not as fragile as something this big. It's not even that big actually. I'm highly disappointed because I live in the country and it's really hard for me to get returns back to Amazon. So here I am stuck with an 80 dollar piece. I would not buy this product if I were you. They say it is meant to be outside, even include an 'outdoor winter care' pamplet.... I can guarantee you it will not last. It is not well made as you can see by how hollow the wings are and how easily they broke. I'm so disappointed as I really wanted this and I wasn't even going to put it outside! It was meant for inside. I'm getting really tired of poor quality products. Design Toscano, if you cannot manufacture something this large and have it keep together during shipping, then you haven't figured out how to manufacture it properly. To any future buyers, you're better off getting something made in stone. Or from a manufacturer who uses better materials. Lowering my review. Seller does NOT stand by product!!!

Easily Broken - Did Bot Survive One Season Hanging
Interior structure doesn't support material gargoyle is constructed from... after hanging for only 11 weeks a crack developed in the weight bearing arm. When I removed the gargoyle, the crack expanded all the way around. I am going to tape it, and fill the interior with expanding foam. I will rehang it, but use a support for the weight. Pity really, it is a good looking beastie for our garden, but no longevity.

Sturdy, good quality.
I was surprised at the weight. I was expecting a hollow resin statute, but this one is solid. Beautiful gargoyle!

it's nice. for what i paid i expected something that ...
wife loves it. a few issues: it was packed VERY well. some of the paint must have been wet when it was packaged because there were a few slimy/mushy parts of the statue where some of the white plaster/foam was exposed. i was able to touch up the goobered spots with some paint that i had at the house that sort-of matched. that was my only real issue. it's nice. for what i paid i expected something that was a little more artisan and a little less mass-production looking, but the bottom line is that he is up and watching over our balcony patio now. the wife likes it and that what really matters. sorry for the dark pic, it was really overcast that morning.

Welcome home Gaston!
We had to send first one back, it was cracked and requested a replacement. The replacement came in great condition and we hung him without difficulty. Our home is Tuscan style with rock turret and castle like accents. Gaston fits in very well. We can’t wait to hear the comments from guests.

Love this bit of whimsy
We came across a similar one on a chimney and had to have one of our own. Great quality. Easy to mount on a flat surface. It took a little work for us to get the mount right on our brick chimney because of the brick style - one layer stuck out more than the rest of the bricks. The back of our home is 3 stories so we felt it was a little small for our chimney height but love it!

Just as expected.
The statue itself is terrific but I'm sure they could come up with a more elegant way to hang it on the wall. Maybe reinforce the branch that the hand is gripping and put two holes through it for long screws to go into a stud? I just now looked at the item on Amazon and the "clamp" holding the branch to the wall is much nicer than the clamp I received, which is just plain steel, about as elegant as a soup can. The clamp in the current photo appears to be cast iron.

Arrived well packed, would have got 5 stars except for the flakey resin still present between the gargoyle's finger and toes etc Looks fantastic set at a height, were people have to look up to unexpectedly see it. great product looses points due to a lack of attention to detail at the production and inspection prior to packing.
