OK replacement of older faucet

Delta should have been clearer (I did call, and text them), that in addition to this item, all I needed was new o-rings and springs. Also instructions on removing the old cartridge would have been helpful. They are really worried about scalding to the point that I had to cut off some of the stop to allow a hotter shower. I should not have had to use a hacksaw to get the performance I wanted.

Fit and Works Perfectly

I watched a number of online/youtube videos and this fit and worked perfectly. I replaced a 27 year old trim kit and their was a bit of "build up" inside the old parts. The only change that I really noticed, other than the new looking finish, was how easy this trim rotated. I guess after a slow build up over 27 years, you don't really notice the resistance. With the new trim kit, that resistance is gone, so it operates absolutely like new. Would buy again.

Very nice shower faucet

I think the color and quality of this is beautiful. I like the temperature adjustment stays from where it was last set. I do wish it had more gallons per minute though. I wouldn’t say it’s low water pressure but I would prefer more. It says it’s 1.75 gallons per minute.

Delta Faucet Lahara 14 Series Single-Handle Shower Faucet, Shower Trim Kit

I installed the Delta Faucet Lahara 14 Series Single-Handle Shower Faucet, Shower Trim Kit in my new shower. I trust the Delta name and the performance of their products. Since I have a completely tiled shower, I want to put in a trust name and product, one where I can always get parts if I need to. No unknown imports here when it comes to everyday performance! The internal shower body has a flowing valve to prevent against scalding hot water in case somebody in the house flushes a toilet or runs the water in the sink. I like the fact that there are two shut off valves on the shower body should I need to work on the shower body without having to turn off the entire water system to the house. Great product!

Confusing directions, but I got it to work - Finally.

Hard to find a shower-only controller that will let you change the volume and temperature separately. Finally found this one, but the install directions made it sound like there was to be very little play in the temp adjustments - saying installers needed to inform clients that they might have to make seasonal changes to the settings, to account for varying temps in the cold water coming in. That set me on fire, but I was stuck at that point, having already installed the Delta controls behind the wall, so I went ahead and installed it, anyway. There's a gear-like device in the guts of the faucet that actually will stop you from adjusting the temp more than a few clicks, but I called them, to try to find out what the heck that was all about, and they swore that it would not stop me from adjusting the temp any way I wanted. I called them liars, and quoted the passage, but they insisted. Once I started assembling, I kept trying it repeatedly along the way - to ensure nothing stopped me from adjusting all the way. There were some gear teeth pieces left over, but it still worked, so I stopped there. It works. I can control the temp from all cold water, to all hot water, and from low volume to high volume. Yay! I tossed the other pieces, and got on with life. Pros: * Most important - It allows me to set the temp AND the volume! Yay!! * This is a nice looking setup. Very chrome-y, despite being a lot of plastic. * This is easy to adjust - using 2 levers, rather than knobs, so great for my Arthritic hands. * It lets out plenty of water, at least on the pelt setting. * It has an "Off" spot on the shower head, though it still trickles a bit. Cons: * CONFUSING directions! * Unnecessarily complicated installation, and parts. * Plastic parts. The vast majority of this is plastic, and it feels it. (But it looks great) * Shower head is fine, though not many options, and the "Off" setting still trickles. Overall, this was the best option I could find that would allow me to adjust temp as well as volume - separately. Not sure why Anyone would want to have the water on full blast at all times, but I'm not a fan of cowering in the corner while being pelted with water. Thanks to this, I don't have to anymore.
