Nice looking, but mounting parts may need modification. Bring tools.

The unit is very attractive, as specified. Felt pretty sturdy while installing. A problem you will encounter for a drywall mount is that the mounting bracket (shown in the first picture above) is not the same as that shown in the instructions. Unlike the mounting bracket shown in the instructions, the lower flange on the mounting bracket supplied does not protrude far enough from the wall for the mounting screw (with Allen head) to bite. I once worked in automotive and have a pretty extensive tool box although all I needed was two good quality pliers and I was able to bend that bottom flange out far enough for the set screw to bite. Grocery store pliers or non-mechanically inclined folks may have an issue with this. It's also a good idea to replace the screws supplied with higher quality screws. Once installed, the unit seems stury and nice, though. My wife has already tested it and gave me thumbs up. A suggestion for the manufacturer: ditch the Allen head set screw and replace it with a regular flat head screw. The Allen screw only turns 1/3 of a turn at a time, and when bent down looking up at it, it's awkward to turn - itty bitty Allen wrenches just don't work good in large hands. :-)

Manufacturer Defect

The toilet paper holder is nice looking. However, it was packaged with the wrong plate to attach it to. My husband could not get it to attach to the wall plate causing damage to our newly painted walls. Upon closer look the wall plate packaged with the holder does not sit level for the holder to attach appropriately. The instructions show a beveled or raised plate which would have lined up correctly for the holder to be attached. My husband had to put two washers behind the wall plate to raise it enough for the holder to attach. This negative review is not against the seller as it was packaged with the incorrect wall plate from the manufacturer. We purchased two of these and had the same issue with both.

Attractively designed. Simple to place toilet paper on the spindle. The slight upturned design keeps the roll on the spindle.

Flaw in design

Screw to attach to mounting plate is stuck up inside the holder. Second one with this problem ordered from Amazon. Delta is zero help in acquiring two replacement screws for their product. Most frustrating.

Great style and sturdy!

I am so glad I went with the Delta Cassidy fixtures and this TP holder is my favorite. No more excuses for the family members not to load it, LOL It can only be installed on the right, if you put it on the left the set screw will be on top. I read several folks saying the roll comes off while using so I tested several placements and since I wanted to go into a stud I placed it approx 4" from the front of the toilet & 26" from floor (std placement). fyi My 4" isn't a problem as I have ample room between toilet and wall. The roll is not coming off of the post nor does it feel awkward. I "tested" the std placement of 10" in front of toilet and I don't think that would cause a problem (for adults) either. Just my 0.02. It has a classic style but the single post is more modern which I like. I put it straight to stud so its rock solid but would have been fine with the Molly's which I used for other matching hardware. I just replaced junk so this is amazing by comparison I have to keep going in the bath just to look at all of it. Very happy with my purchase and planning on doing the spare bath now.
