shockingly well-built for the price, ridiculously easy to assemple

Sure, there is something a bit cynical about these nightstands. The lowest common denominator in MCM design, they're Amazon's algo-driven budget answer to the laziest in contemporary send-ups of modern style. In that regard, they are worthy of at least some contempt, and you could certainly find better looking mock-mcm nightstands elsewhere for a similar price point. But I'm not sure they'll serve you any better than these will. They're 100% wood - no particle board, not even for the drawer bottoms - and completely sturdy. Assembly is absurdly easy - just screw in the legs - maybe took a minute for each table. Even the packaging is reasonably compact. In maybe ten minutes, I had these unboxed, assembled ,and in our bedroom, with the packaging at the curb. Exactly what we needed, with an infant in tow, to retire the plastic stools we've been using as semi-permanent placeholders without breaking the bank or giving up an afternoon we don't have. And, contempt aside, they look pretty alright. We hope to replace them eventually with something we love - but if we never find that, these will serve us just fine as long as we need them to.

Great price for a real wood side table

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box: 1. The nightstand was well packaged and protected from damage during the shipping process. I also dropped it when I was carrying it and the corners were padded enough that it made no impact. 2. It’s real wood! The entire side table is real, painted wood. I expected particle board. 3. Super easy to assemble, you just screw in the legs. No tools needed. These are the reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: 1. There is a deep crack in one of the legs (not from me dropping it, you can tell the wood was split before and there is a little glue residue on top of the crack). However, i was able to install the leg in such a way the crack faces the back. It does not affect the integrity of the leg at all and can be easily fixed with wood filler. Honestly, the hassle of exchanging the table is not worth it for this minor flaw. 2. The drawer is not on sliders so it’s just wood scraping wood when you pull it out/push it in. I think waxing the drawer’s bottom will fix this. Not a deal breaker, but I thought it important to mention. Overall, this is a great piece of furniture for the price. I would repurchase.

Very cute and easy to put together

For assembly, you only have to screw the legs onto the actual drawer so it was extremely easy and took 1 minute. I loved the wood color and sturdiness. They seem like they will hold up fairly well overtime. The drawer itself isn't the smoothest thing to pull open or close, however it does the job without much trouble. There was a scratch in the wood design on the top of the nightstand when I opened it, however it is not very noticeable especially with lamps, etc on the table. Otherwise, I think it is a beautiful nightstand for $66!

Look great but drawer sticks

Looks nice, solid wood but the drawers are kinda hard to open and close cause it’s wood on wood. No track or rail to open.

Looks nice, feels cheap

I didn’t know what to expect given that it was only $97, but the largely positive reviews set my expectations too high. This table looks really nice and it gets the job done, but boy does it feel incredibly cheap. The drawer is rough and difficult to open smoothly, and the texture of the wood is VERY rough. It definitely needs to be sanded and refinished. Legs are also uneven so the table is wobbly on hard floors. I’m no expert, but if this is real wood then it’s the cheapest wood known to man. Overall I love the style but I would’ve gladly paid a little more for better quality. Based on the other reviews it seems that the price fluctuates quite a bit, and IMO I wouldn’t pay anything over the $97 that I paid. Good example of you get what you pay for.

stylish but unstable

The style is nice enough, but the overall weight of the piece is very light and the drawer opens crudely and roughly as it is not on tracks. These two factors are of note because if you put anything moderately heavy in the large drawer, you end up dragging the whole thing across the floor just to get it open. Not ideal if you are lying in bed. I have to stabilize the table first then open the drawer to keep it from moving.

Perfect for small space

I lean toward mid century design and these are perfect. I just wanted something small with storage. The drawers are deeper than I was expecting which is a perk. I absolutely recommend these.
