Great quality
Very nice model with solid details for the money. Good info on the history of aircraft as well.

Nice B-24 model
This is a very nice B-24 model. The B-24 was a key part in Operation Tidal Wave which was a raid on the Ploesti oil fields in Romania. This operation sought to cripple Axis oil production. The operation was not a success and the production at Ploesti was not affected significantly enough . A total of 54 B-24s were lost in the raid and 310 crewmen were lost and 190 crewmen were captured. B-24 Strawberry Bitch serial number 42-72843 was one of the B-24's in Operation Tidal Wave and she survived the operation and went on to complete over 50 missions in Northern Africa from September 1943 to June 1944. After the war, Strawberry Bitch was selected for preservation and stored at the Davis Monthan boneyard in the Arizona desert until displayed at the Air Force Museum in 1959. Now to the model. The model is very nice and of very decent size. The whole model is made of metal except for the propellers and guns and maybe the twin tail, which are all plastic. I've seen the actual plane in person and it looks exactly like the Strawberry Bitch at the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. Daron did a great job here and I hope Daron continue to make more planes just like this. And if you haven't visited the Air Force Museum you really should, its an aviation lovers dream.
