I have several watch caps. They are my preferred headgear for cold days. My ears get painfully cold any time the temperature goes below about 45°F and a cuffed watch cap does a good job of keeping them warm. I always buy wool, but I decided to try this 100% cotton beanie as I always prefer cotton in other types of garments. I have a pretty big head. I measured it at the hat line with a piece of cord at 23.5 inches. This cap worked fine for me with room to spare. With a 3+ inch cuff it covers my ears, my forehead down to my eyebrows and well below the collar line of a jacket at the back of my neck. I wear my watch caps pulled down tight with no "bubble" at the top. I don't like to wear clothing manufacturers' advertising and this cap does have a small logo attached on it. However, it's small and it's the same dark color as the cuff and fairly inconspicuous. I've worn this on a couple of 35°F to 40°F degree days and my head and ears were very comfortable - nice and warm. You can just barely see a bright light up close through one layer of the cap's soft, non-itchy material and nothing at all through two. Unfortunately, it isn't washable. It is made in China.

Thick

This is a thick hat with a large cuff on it. Material is warm and pretty stretchy. The hat doesn't have any extra room on top. It might be just a bit small since it seems to keep sliding up and off my ears a bit, but I like how it looks with minimal branding.

Thick and warm

This beanie is nice and thick knitted material, but not fuzzy. There is texture from the knitted pattern but the individual yarns are fairly smooth as opposed to fuzzy. This beanie is stretchy for a perfect fit. The small tag with a picture of scissors is a cool accent; it is small and inconspicuous yet also unusual and unexpected if someone does notice it, it's not the same old thing everyone else has. I chose the olive green hat for my college-age son, it is a nice departure from the usual black or gray. He has some army green pants that are his current faves, and this hat goes nicely with those pants without being overly matchy. There are slight color variations within the yarn, so the hat has sort of a subtle merle or heathered effect. The olive green is not too dark and not too green; this shade of olive green has a good bit of both brown and gray in it. Overall this hat is great. It is nice quality, thick, warm, well made, stylish and looks great.

A thick, warm hat

I thought this hat was too bulky for me. I've worn these types of hats before, but this one it overly generous with the fabric. I just didn't like the way it looked on me. I wear it when I plow the driveway and walks, but it's in the closet otherwise. I also think it's a bit expensive for a cotton hat.

Love The Fit and The Look!

This is my initial review for the Damen + Hastings Men's Knit Cuffed Beanie Hat and I'll continue updating it as I use it. This is a great quality beanie, once you hold it, you can really tell this is a really good quality beanie, the material feels great and kept me warm in the blizzard storm in New York, I usually get like a rash on my forehead from some beanies but this one didn't irritate my skin what so ever, I'm really loving it. It looks amazing on my head and you can wear it literally with anything. Overall, Very high quality beanie, and fits as expected. I highly recommend it.

Fits an adult head

The Damen + Hastings Men's Knit Cuffed Beanie Hat fits my man-sized head well. This beanie surpasses my expectations in every way. I was expecting it to be too small and it fits great. I was expecting a cotton beanie not to be very warm and it's really warm. I thought it would look like every other beanie and it doesn't -- it looks way better because it's made from cotton, it looks more like a piece of clothing rather than outerwear. I really like this beanie - even if it is maroon.
