Good quality and looks nice, but ...

Can't get accustomed to the style and found that I prefer the old-fashioned masher, with one longer handle, so purchased another and this one just sits in the drawer. But if you like this style, it's great looking and does the trick. That's the only reason for 3 vs. 5 stars. Otherwise, very nice.

Big & clumsy

I was so excited when I found this masher. However, it didn't really work out. First of all, it is quite large and using it in any pot smaller than a dutch oven just isn't feasible. There isn't enough room to move it around to get a smooth consistency. I was looking for a masher with holes instead of bars and that is why I ordered this. But, it is quite difficult to mash anything. I took practically all of my strength to push down hard enough to mash food. I felt like I'd had a workout by the time I was done. It was not as easy to hold and mash at the same time as I thought it would be. Very disappointed.

Reduces lumps

Looks nice but does not work

Nice item but the force you have to use to mash potatoes is like a workout, no thanks, item returned, thank you Amazon for your great return policy

Excellent Masher

Good price, solid build, solid build and good height. Much better then the old (stick) style masher. I did about 20 lbs of mash for a dinner party and it was easy.

Easy to use as you can push downwards. Solid fibreglass, very strong.

Good pick

Sturdy. Does the job. Minimal residue left in the grates. Like the rubber handle. Use about every two weeks for a few months.

LIKE THIS MASHER ERGONOMICALLY BUT ......

After a few times of usage, I did end up trying to drill the holes bigger but the holes were left with little fragments in which I tried to file down - that didn't work. So after spending almost $23.00 on an item that didn't work well for mashing, I will be throwing it out. I like this masher but..... the potatoes do stick in the holes as the holes are small. I might have to consider drilling the holes a bit bigger (as someone else on a review has mentioned and done).

Holes too small

Takes some mashing with this to get the desired results as the holes are to small and block up. Excellent quality and horizontal handle is much easier on the wrist. I spent an hour drilling all the holes out and its perfect now...
