It is small

This is very small. It takes getting used to and you canonly do a little bit of hair at a time. I personally wish that it was a little bit longer. For travel or a camp, it'll work for me.

WORKS SO WELL!

I bought this curling iron for my trip to Europe. I didn’t have too high of hopes but as a seasoned hair curler, I needed a miniature one. It literally fits in the palm of my hand. I have medium length hair and it takes me max 25 minutes to curl my hair. If you’re a beginner at hair curling, it could definitely take longer. The barrel is only 2-3 inches so I could only coil one curl at a time. It heats up fairly quickly and my curls last all day. There’s only one heat setting but it’s definitely hot enough. I would say maybe 350°-400° F. I’m so glad I got it! It’s good quality as well, not cheapy.

Good product

Not sure what the review on the “rating of heat resistance” means, but the other two items to rate, “ease of use” and “temperature control” are just fine. I bought this to replace the same product I had purchased years ago. When the old one broke, (and that was just the plastic piece at the tip of the curling iron that broke off. The actual curling iron part was fine) I wanted the same one because I used it every day on my bangs, and it was a really nice size to bring on trips. Not sure if, because of the short barrel, this would be of use to people with really long hair. I was so happy to find this one is exactly the same, but in a different color.

Perfect for traveling with a backpack.

I got this for an upcoming trip in Europe for which I will only have a backpack. You do have to use small sections of hair, but my hair is thin so it wasn’t too hard. It didn’t take long to get the hang of using it, compared to my regular sized curling iron. For what I am going to use it for, I think it will be fine. The temperature was hot enough. My hair did get a little stuck in the clamp a few times, but I can deal with that.

Perfect for short hair, bangs and compact for travel

This travel size curling iron is perfect for managing bangs or short hair and is super compact without being too difficult to use! If you have hair longer than chin length, or require high heat styling, this probably won't work very well for you. The iron has only an inch or two that heats up for curling, and the arm/clip that holds the hair down does not open very wide so you can only curl small portions at a time. This is perfect for taming your bangs, or keeping up with shorter styles. The iron does not get very hot, so if you are looking for a tight curl this is not a good option, but it works great for softer curls and waves.

This product heats up quickly and works well. Good for travel because of its size but also quite awkward to use because it is so small.

Works if you gave short hair!

Super cute and compact. Heated quickly. Seems like great quality. Only returned because the barrel is so short. Couldn’t support my shoulder length hair. Bet it would work great on a short style!

Perfect for travel!

Brought this on a trip for a wedding. It was perfect! I got rid of my curling iron, but wanted to touch up my naturally curly hair. It heats up very fast, and is plenty powerful for creating nice ringlets. Perfect for ends or medium length hair. Probably wouldn't use on super long/thick hair as the barrel is short.

Compact, effective and flexible curling options

This great product from Conair heated well and curled well. On the left was the amount of product I would have to pack to equal the Conair product on the right (with a few “nested” Velcro rollers around it). Basically, I have read reviews that said the product was not good because the barrel was too small. Any stylist will tell you that it is NOT the size of the barrel heating the hair that matters, rather the size of the barrel around the hair shafts WHILE THEY COOL that sets the size of the curl. So I set the curls with this dryer, then wrap the curls to cool in Velcro rollers. So when I travel, I shove 3 Velcro rollers (green, nested inside orange, nested inside then pink) around the curling barrel, and 2 Velcro rollers (orange, nested inside pink) around the curling base, as its too wide to acccomodate the green size. I curl my hair with the mini Conair, then roll the hot hair in the Velcro roller of the size I need (I wear a graduated bob, that is very long in front so I need the velcros just for the front and sides - the barrel is fine for curling the back). It’s a HUGE advantage in the small, carry-on suitcase (I dont EVER check luggage, even for 4 weeks in Italy or 3 weeks in Ireland, so every inch of square space matters in my suitcase). This hack should work for most styles needing a larger, softer curl.

Travel size

Curler was as expected. CN bring along anywhere, office,gym etc The space between the barrel and the clamp does not allow for thick pieces of hair. Works for me as I have fine hair.

Glad I had it for one trip overseas, but it won't be going with me next time...

...because it only lasted for six months. While I was on my trip I really liked that it griped my baby fine hair well, so when I got home I continued to use it. Within six months of light use (because I don't have a lot of hair, lol) it stopped heating up. It was good while it lasted...it just didn't last long.

Works Fine But...

Curling iron itself works well but I find the "handle" part could be a little bit longer so that your hand isn't so close to the barrel. I did get a "deal" on price I paid so felt the value for the money was okay.

Good reliable product. Item arrived within the time frame given. As we have owned one before we can attest to its reliability and convenience. Great for travel due to its compact size.
