Works as expected!
Nice for home use. I have long curly hair and appreciate the diffusing effect. The high speed does get a bit warm, even with the vent at the top open all of the way. Low speed seems to work well without getting too hot. I would give this five stars if it had a temperature adjustment to go along with the fan adjustment. It is loud, as expected, and if I was using everyday, I might wear earplugs. It is a bit hard to adjust the height, and it seems that there is a lot of confusion on how to do this. I hope the picts I have added help that. You have to hold the base down with one hand, and really pull up hard with the other hand to raise the lower end of the base. It does have 1" increments so there is about 4-5" that you can adjust. Overall, I am happy with my purchase as a nice alternative to my hand-held diffuser. It is nice to sit and let the dryer do the work verses my hand and arm doing the work.

Great purchase
So I didn't get the regular dome shaped one because I noticed that the air holes dont cover the whole dome (including around the sides) like this one does. I bought it for my hot oil treatments and I love it. The air pressure isn't as high as the older ones that some of you and myself may use to have BUT it definitely still does the job. It Does get hot so that's not an issue I kept it on low because the hot setting gets pretty hot. It also has adjustable heights, you just have to pull it up to get it higher and push it down (kind of tricky) to get it back low again. This is one IS a noise maker but don't let that deter you from buying it, it's loud but it's bearable.

Easy to set up and use!
This item was purchased for my 92 year old mother that still prefers rollers in her hair! Style, ease, and comfort was superb. Packs away neatly when not in use . Very portable to take to different locations. Mom loves it!

I purchased this to dry my curly hair after a recommendation by my hair dresser. It has a high and low setting, is easy to set up, is light weight, and dries my hair in about 20 minutes. It folds into the dome for easy storage.

One of those "they don't make them like they used to" products
My mom had one of these from the 70s that finally died a few years ago. Now that I have long hair again, I wanted one of these so I wouldn't have to stand and hold a hand dryer. Plus it's relaxing to just sit under the dryer for 10 min and read while it does the work. Based on the 70% 5 star reviews, I decided to give this a try. Pros: - Lightweight - Compact - Hot Cons: - The air holes only go halfway down the hood. You don't get much airflow past your ears. (see picture). I fiddled with the vents at the top of the hood, but all it did was confuse me. - No temperature control. There is only fan speed low and high, and high feels too hot on my thin, fine hair. My scalp was on fire too quickly and I had to turn it down to low fairly soon after starting. - Very thin plastic makes it feel very cheap and low quality - The base is not heavy enough to support the hood when it is open and it was very close to tipping over. - The manufacturer's definition of "adjustable height" is not the same as mine. The "adjustable height" is just tipping the hood up so you can get under it. It won't actually move up & down and lock in any place you want. - I agree with other reviewers, putting it on a table makes it too high and you'd need cushions to sit on to make yourself tall enough. I tried using a folding TV tray table with a Costco folding chair and that setup was just about right. This dryer cost me $106 after tax, and for me that is too expensive to keep given the large number of cons.

Excelente para hidratar tu cabello como de salón de belleza
The media could not be loaded. Antes de comprarlo ya lo había usado en un salón de belleza. La gente que generalmente se queja del producto es porque no sabe cómo usarlo. Yo lo compre para hacerme hidrataciones de cabello en casa. Basta con comprar tu mascarilla regular para el cabello, una capa de plástico, está máquina y podrás hidratar tu cabello como lo harías en un salón. Es maravilloso con sus dos modos de calor ya que te permite calibrar cuando aire caliente vas a recibir (recuerda que tu cabeza estará metida ahí). Por otro lado estoy pensando en comprar unos rulos de cabello de los que se usan para moldear de manera que luego que seque el cabello con el secador, pueda hacer ondas con esta máquina maravillosa. Si tu idea es comprar esto para secar tu cabello y que este quede liso o alaciado, estás en el lugar y producto incorrecto pero si lo que quieres es hidratar tu cabello está puede ser una opción económica frente a las demás.
