As others have said, these run a little small
I try and walk my dog every day when the weather is tolerable. Once the snow arrived, I realized that the waterproof leather hiking boots I already owned wouldn't work. While they were amply warm and dry, the synthetic soles - even with the 'lug' tread pattern - were extremely slippery, so I started looking around for a better 'winter walking boot' (and we have snow on the ground for around 5 months of the year). I decided to give these Columbia boots a try. While I normally wear a 10 1/2 medium-width size shoe/boot, based on the input from other reviews, I ordered a size 11 (1/2 size larger) and also the 'wide' width rather than the 'normal' width. The boots arrived the other day. I tried them on and was glad I ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal. With heavier socks on, it gave me about 1/2" of room in front of my toes. The wider width also helped...no 'tightness' along the sides of my feet - and even if the insulation compresses over time, there is enough adjustment in the laces to further tighten the fit. Wore them the other morning when I went to walk my dog. Temperature was around 16 degrees and there was about an inch of fresh snow on top of hard-packed snow and ice on the streets. Once the boots 'cooled' (to the outside temp), traction was pretty good...still had to be careful in areas where underlying ice coated the streets. We walked about a mile and a half that morning. Feet were warm and dry and boots felt comfortable even though they're not 'broken in' yet. I was initially concerned about the 'height' of the boots (i.e. cutting into my shins when I walked) but this didn't happen...and the additional 'height' actually kept snow from getting inside the boots. One thing I noticed is that the 'lining' of the boots (like the 'lining' of other cold weather boots I have) is a fabric that makes it a little more difficult to 'slide' your feet into and out of the boots. To remedy this, I normally slip one of those thin plastic throwaway shopping (grocery) bags over my socks which makes it easier to slide your feet in and out. Also, if your feet 'sweat' while your walking, these bags will keep the boot linings dry. After I've had these boots for awhile I may update this review if I notice something worth mentioning.

Good value
The boots are good boots. I needed a new pair, my last ones were the same brand name. I just the same size as before. 1 minor hack l recommend for these boots is to tie a knot on the laces. If you don't they can easily slip through the loops.

Sturdy and good value
Well constructed and worth the extra few $ than cheaper products. Used them all this winter in Southwest Montana. Secure fit and excellent warmth as long as you’re moderately active which is typical for most such boots. Also typical with snow boots is a tight fit; especially with thick socks. I wear a 12-12.5 and the 13 I purchased is snug with thick sock but not uncomfortable. Many days of walking more than a mile comfortably. They held up well and I have every reason to believe they will last several more seasons. Only criticism is the sole is on the slippery side out of the box. Hoping with time and wear they’ll get more grippy. Still gave it 5 ⭐️ because it’s a lot of boot for the money.

Excellent
Bought these for a Mammoth trip this past weekend. We arrived late in the evening and it was 14°. Kids wanted to play in the snow in all their new gear. Put these on and walked/played in the snow for over an hour. My feet stayed warm and dry. The next day Family went snowboarding, and I stood and watched them outside in the windy cold for 5 hours. It was 19°. Mostly just shuffling or taking a few steps, my feet stayed warm and dry throughout the day. I was intentionally putting the boots into the deeper parts of the powder snow. They still stayed warm and dry. They are comfortable to wear and the fit for me was good. Initially, I thought they were a little big but after putting on icebreaker socks, which were not thick, probably more medium, the fit was good and they were comfortable for the entire day of wearing them approx 7-8 hours. My size is normally 12 and I went with a 12 wide. With the icebreaker sock, it was perfect. The grip was 8.5/10. I only felt a few times on the ice where I felt a little slippery but people should be a bit careful walking on the ice no matter what normal boot they are wearing. In the snow they get a 10/10 They are easy to cinch or loosen while wearing. The quality of the boot is outstanding. Not a single flaw in the manufacturing of them imho. All in all this boot served its purpose very well. Warm, windproof, and waterproof. They keep you dry. 100% Extremely happy with these boots.

These boots are unbelievablely comfortable
To look at these boots you may by appearance go right to, big, rubber, clunky, but believe me, none of those adjectives come anywhere close to describing these unbelievablely comfortable boots! I'm telling you, when you slide your feet into these boots it's like putting on a plush new pair of slippers. Buy them. You will not regret this purchase. I promise you this. Enjoy.

Comfortable, warm, waterproof, slush-puddle proof
Vancouver snow is notorious for being more wet, icy, and slushy. These boots have been absolute winners for my husband, both for street walking and trail walking in snowy & slushy weather. We've had more snow and colder temperatures than usual this winter and these have kept his feet perfectly warm. When stepping through 5" deep slush, these have stayed waterproof with no leaks. They're lightweight enough that there's no fatigue compared to wearing runners. Perfect winter boots. He's raved about them so much that I've bought the women's version. **One note on size: he wears a 14 or 15 depending on brand. In Saucony's he's a solid 14, Skechers a 15, Clarks a 14, Rockport a 15. Tried both a 14 and 15 in these and the 15 was the perfect fit.

I love these Boots
The Columbia bugaboot iii. Arrived today, because of previous reviews saying go one size up, I did. Normally I'm 9.5 I got the 10. They fit perfectly with ski socks on. The tongue comes practically to the top of the boot, which lessens the the chance of water or melting snow ingress. They are light with a really thick sole which has lots of bounce. Overall I am very impressed. Maybe a bit of fabric waterproofing further down the line for the tongue area. Other than that well worth the £73 pounds.

Nice one , people asks ‘where to buy’
Except protection at -25 degree, it’s a good pair of high ankle shoes. I used it in Kashmir, -6 degree, but it didn’t provide warmth. Had to wear 3 socks to overcome cold pinching effect on fingers
