Great sweater, a bit hard to put on (it helps if pup is cooperative) very thick & warm!

This is an excellent dog sweater, especially for those in colder climates. My daughter has a new puppy and even though we live where temperatures are mild year round, some days it is just too cold for him to go outside for more than a minute or two. I have purchased this brand before for my own dogs and I knew the quality was top-notch. One of our dogs loved wearing his sweater, and the other one tolerated it. I ordered this one in size XS (the puppy is a 10-week old French bulldog and weighs about 7.5 pounds). This fits him very well and it is just the slightest bit too long for him. I'm sure it will be perfect in a week or two (and he will probably out-grow it a few weeks after that). It is somewhat stretchy, so it should be okay for a while. He really doesn't like wearing it and runs the other way when he sees it. It is also quite a struggle to get it on and off as he is wriggling around the whole time. Once it is on, however, he is warm and toasty and can be outside for quite a while (no sweater, he is shivering within minutes when temperatures are around 48-50 degrees F and has to come right back inside to warm up; with the sweater, he is happily playing for 45 minutes to an hour). I was lucky enough to run across this sweater on sale for $14.99 and it is definitely worth every penny. It is thick and quite heavy and feels very warm. He looks very cute in it. I machine wash it inside of a mesh bag in cold water on a gentle cycle and line dry it. So far, so good (this is probably the 12th sweater from Chilly Dog I have purchased, and the fourth dog I am buying them for and they are well made, sturdy and long-wearing).

Chilly Dog sweaters are classy and traditional looking

Pure well sweaters are a luxury, but well-worth it. I love the handsome look and my dog is warm and happy. I have purchased 4 of them so far and will get more for my bigger dogs.
