It works, but beware of the flying crab
Bought this andNorpro 1527 Shanghai Crab Scissors for my husband, as we attend a Crab Bash Charity every year. They only serve King Crabs. Our intention with this cracker was to make it easier on our hands and minimize splatter. Hubby took a while to find out how to best deal with it but then it all worked out. It splattered some of the crab case and meat a little bit. Eating crab is a messy affair anyway, and most important is to be able to access the meat, which is achieved with this. So it is minus one star only due to the mess it leaves on the table.

It works but not as well as expected.
I liked the concept of the wisecracker so I bought it to try it out. I intended to use it to open crab legs to get the meat out. It does work as sliter but breaks up the crab leg meat more than I like. My crab scissors work better. I’ll keep the wisecracker and probably use them in the future.

Easy to use, and very handy
We live near the coast and love our Dungeness crab. I love these so much I bought one for home and one for our RV.

Very solid grip, and made to last. I was turned on to this brand while visiting some friends in Anchorage, Alaska this past summer. They'd received a half dozen or so of them as a wedding gift, 8 years prior. It's worth noting that these Wisecrackers still looked, and worked like new, and that's saying a lot because my friends in AK eat crab just about every week when it's in season. I bought some here on Amazon as soon as I got back home, and have been very happy with them. Nice marriage of aesthetic and functionality. Highly recommended.

Works Wonders!
Got this thing as a "stocking stuffer". Gave it a try on King crab Legs and it works great. Don't like to buy crab legs because they are too much work. Not anymore!

My wife thought it was just another toy,until we had crab legs. It might not be perfect, but for my use I loved it. I liked it better than snipping, but its nice to have options depending on the need. One works great for the two of us to share, because you don't need it for every leg.

These are not scissors, they spread the crab open. That being said they work well
