UPDATE Jan 2019 - sadly the crystal spontaneously popped off the watch face and now will not snap back on. Having hardly used this watch at all, this disappointing - I shall contact the maker to seek a remedy, but I expected at least a few years' service before failure. the other comments of my original review remain true. ---- original review My criteria for a new, everyday pocket watch (I work with my hands) included it having a white face readable in dim light, a date window, a cover, a solid loop for the chain attachment and a stainless metal case. I also hoped for regular digits rather than Roman, but was unable to find one. This watch satisfies all that I wished for and it has a very nice, solid feel. A pleasant surprise was just how thin the case is and the slightly smaller diameter, so that it fits my jeans watch pocket very well. I tried the Gotham; it was way too thick and too large. I own a Seiko (under the Success brand), which is a swell pocket watch, but very small in diameter, coverless and not nearly as durable feeling. I wish the Swiss Army ones were still available, but alas... The only negative I can dredge up is that the clips on both ends of the chain, which by itself is nicely robust, the clips are not the kind I like. All in all a very satisfying purchase, especially after having done tons of research. Oh, and it seems to keep time well, too.
