I'll start with the good stuff. The movement is gorgeous

I knew within about a minute of unboxing that I'd return it but, at this point, I regret not trusting my gut after I literally read every review on Amazon for Charles Hubert skeleton pocket watches. I'll start with the good stuff. The movement is gorgeous. Pictures and videos don't do it justice. I'm considering the Gotham GWC18800 as a replacement because the movement appears identical. This watch hasn't run a full day yet so, especially without a second hand, it's too early to tell if it keeps good time, but it does seem to. Now for the problems. The first thing I noticed was a large scratch on the upper right of the band. Next, the bottom half of the text "MEC MOV" at the bottom of the white dial is hidden below the silver. The latch on the back moves around but prefers to lean all the way to the right, such that that the back lid often opens before the front. When open, the front lid wiggles back and forth from left to right more than I'd like, which sounds like a nitpick now, considering the rest of these problems. Last but not least, there is some sort of shaving or hair or scratch on the inside of the front plastic cover. Forget the fact that it'll interfere with the mechanism when it comes loose - obstructing the view of such a gorgeous movement was the last straw. Maybe it is straw...

it broke after two months

the watch looks beautiful, i got it for my husband as an anniversary gift. the parts you think are glass are actually plastic, but it doesn't take away from the pretty look of it. it did break after two months. and there are no clear and concise directions on where to send it to get it fixed. We have a tiny piece of paper that came with the watch...it's unclear but we're pretty sure we have to send it back to Charles-Hubert and see what they can do for us. But that tiny piece of paper also states clearly that they'll only fix it if it's a product defect. so who knows what's going to happen with it. I wouldn't recommend this product. I spend over $250 on this watch to have it be a headache two months later...not worth it.

Beautiful

ONe of two of the most beautiful watches I have ever purchased. Beautiful internal movemet from both sides. Better than sales picture. Biggest complaint is plastic face with no water resistance. I spent way beyond my means to give this special gift to my love for a birthday with deeply personalized engraving making it very special and more beautiful. The next day the watch was put permanently in its bag and left to sit unwound, unseen, unappreciated in storage.

Beautiful lemon

Bought it January 5 from Pocketwatch central broke Feb 26th. The winding stem came out. Two stars because it's beautiful and movement works well. Generally was 2 minutes fast a day which is acceptable. Sent it to California to get fixed, waiting for it to get back. They were pleasant enough. Apprehensive about long term reliability now. In retrospect, go with German or Swiss made brand
