Lasts me the entire day

Now my go to under eye powder! Get it if you have trouble finding powder for dry under eyes!

This comes just the jar inside a sealed bag. There’s no outer product box. The product page says they are cruelty free (PETA approved - their global “beauty without bunnies” program). The jar is on the smaller side. I was pretty surprised, but it’s not a big deal. I just prefer jars to be a little wider so my brush gets in the cap nicely when I go to pick up the powder. But, it still works good enough. I have normal to dry skin, more on the dry side with some extremely dry areas. So, I am really picky about powders and I don’t find many I like for my entire face, and even less that I like for under my eyes where I seem to have the most dryness. This claimed to be “lighter than light, so much so that you’ll forget you’re even wearing it,” so it sounded like it would be light enough where it wouldn’t look too dry or cakey and figured that it was worth a try! But, it did say it will “mattify the skin,” so I was a little worried about it looking or feeling dry on my skin. I got the translucent shade. I always figure that’s the best to go with online when you don’t know anything about the brand and how their shades are. It’s always the safe option for me! This is truly translucent. It hasn’t changed the color of my concealer or foundation. It doesn’t go on looking white at all. It’s really translucent. Overall, I like this a lot. It applies nicely. It goes on smooth and looks smooth. It didn’t accentuate any of my dry areas. It set my makeup nicely without looking or feeling dry. If you use just a small amount, it does feel light on the skin. It even goes on nicely under my eyes. It’s become my go to setting powder for under my eyes, which says A LOT about this powder! I’ve STRUGGLED finding powders that work well under my eyes. Most make the concealer look cakey and the area look so dry! This actually makes my under eye area look smoother, which is RARE! It works just as well all over the face too, but I have a few other powders that work well all over the face but don’t work well under my eyes, so this one has become my under eye powder! And it works out given the smaller jar because my under eye powder brush is smaller than my all over face powder brush ???? I definitely recommend this, especially if, like me, you have trouble finding a powder that doesn’t look or feel dry on the skin or make your concealer/foundation look cakey!

Sheer, Non-Drying, Works Amazingly Well - Love it!

My wife never imagined that 'baking' is still a thing...the powder dries out your skin. When my wife received the powder, she found that the Carter Beauty Standards Baking Powder doesn't dry out her skin, and that it helped prevent the liquid foundation and concealers from accumulating and being visible in small wrinkles in the skin under her eyes. The powder is sheer and my wife can't see it at all after application, although the powder is white. The only downside that she mentioned is that it didn't come with a puff. The diameter of the container is not standard, so it's hard to find a puff that fits it. At $10.46, it's a solid value. If it came with a puff, she'd have given it five stars. Highly recommended!

Highly pigmented banana powder-absorbs oil/moisture- Sets makeup-Heavier powder

I use banana powder regularly to set my makeup or prime my eyelid for eyeshadow. I find that a very good banana setting powder will make my eyeshadow flawless and last all day. Carter Beauty banana setting powder by Marissa Carter arrives in a small .3 oz container. It is half the size of my favorite banana powder. I have found that it works well for my eyelids but it is too drying for under my eyes. It does give my skin a mild golden or yellow pigment. This can be seen in photos. This powder seems a bit more pigmented than my usual powder. It is not as fine of a powder and sits a little heavy. I prefer it to be thinner and to have a silky texture. So far, I like it but it is not as easy to work with as some that I have used. Suggestions for improvement for my skin type- Normal (not oily) -Thinner powder that can easily refine pores and does not sit as heavy -Larger container -A silkier texture/appearance after application. -Less dry

Great Setting Powder

This powder can be used to set your makeup or can be worn alone over your daily moisturizer and sunscreen. Any way you choose to use it, it provides a beautiful finish.I don’t have overly oily skin but in the summer I always have a bit more and this powder has been great for keeping that at bay. The best thing about this powder is probably the blurring effect and how long it lasts without needing to be reapplied. It definitely helped to reduce the look of my fine lines and pores which is always a plus. It’s super light and finely milled so it felt weightless and so smoothing. I really appreciate the fact that it doesn’t feel at all like I’ve added another layer to my face, especially in the summer when I basically want to look and feel like I’m not wearing any makeup but still enjoy the benefits of wearing makeup that performs really well.

pricey

Not as fine as I prefer. I have mature skin, so this powder made my under eyes cakey. It did help brighten my under eyes and a little product goes a long way. Would be nice if the container was larger, because I like to pour the product in the cap. Okay price a little pricey for me.

My favorite powder for setting my eyeshadow primer

I had a long road trying to find the best way to keep my eye primer from creasing. I tried a couple different setting powders but this one is by far the best. It is lightweight so I don't feel like I am spackling more layers on my face, and translucent enough that it doesn't effect my base much. I also love that this product is cruelty free. There are very few high quality products that make that a priority and I am glad I can add this one to my repeat purchases.

Staple Makeup Product

Wasn't expecting this to perform as well as it did due to the price point. It's definitely become a new staple in my makeup kit. If you're looking for a cheap alternative and one that doesn't overly dry out your skin but still leaves you with that stay-all-day-airbrush look, then this should definitely be bought. I didn't have to touch up my makeup through a 6 hour day due either. Best for an everyday look.
