Fun for a Family Pirate Night
For the money you can't beat this costume - just under $10. I ordered a size 10 and I normally wear a size 6/8 (approx. 5'5" and 120 lbs). Glad I sized up. What I couldn't tell from the photos is that the top is fairly short - like a crop top but then v's down in the front. It does have a black string so you can tie it up to your size. Your stomach/love handles will show if you have any because of how the bottom of the top is cut. I carry weight in my stomach area so I just hiked the skirt up a little more than normal to prevent my sides/stomach from showing. The skirt is fairly thin but it is not see through. I like how it has an elastic band. It is an asymmetrical skirt but it does not go up too high on the thigh area. Then I wrap the nice and big red/white wrap more around my stomach. I feel appropriately dressed when I do this. I personally don't have the sleeves hang from my arms. I pull the white sleeves up past my shoulders and wear it with a normal bra. It also comes with a black tie for your hair. Our family will have a "pirate" night every once in awhile at a restaurant so this has been great to have so I can be pirate mom. We always get the best smiles when we go out as a pirate family. So this has been worth every penny. I do not recommend washing in a washing machine. Wash by hand then hang dry. One a side note: The sword and boots do not come with the outfit. I bought a plastic sword separately (they cost as much as the costume). And wear black shoes/flip flops.

I ordered this adorable pirate costume for a company party! I also ordered the matching California Costumes Men's Adult Cutthroat Pirate Costume for my husband and I am extremely pleased with both costumers (look for my review of the California Costumes Men's Adult Cutthroat Pirate Costume also). The quality and fit is much better than I expected! I didn't realize it when I ordered the outfit but it is actually 4 pieces, the bodice, skirt, red striped hip wrap and the head tie. I like the the bodice and skirt are separate pieces, it makes for a better fit. This costume is absolutely adorable! And, I think it is a big slimming (unless my mirror is playing tricks on me .. again!). I wear a size 12 so I ordered the XL and it fits perfectly! Upon closer inspection of the picture, the model has a section of her tummy showing (looks good on her). But, the skirt and bodice covers you completely so showing your mid drift (doesn't look good on me!) isn't necessary. The blouse can be worn either on the shoulder (allowing for bra straps) or off the shoulder, in gypsy style. The material for the sleeves is satin like and have a soft shiny look. This outfit is made from a thin, lightweight stretchy material of good quality for the price. I noticed there is a slight area in the top of the bodice where the stitching around the elastic has come loose, but I can easily repair that. The lacing of the bodice is adjustable and very cute. There is a long black piece of material to tie around your head, which completes the outfit! I ordered a pair of the Secret Wishes Pirate Lass Boots and plan to wear them with the red ribbon laced up the side. They match this outfit perfectly and will add a bit of sexy to it! I am very happy with this purchase and think my husband and I will look so great at the party in Bermuda!! *In my best pirate voice* "Shiver me timbers! Don't be a scallywag! Dip into your booty and get yourself this Pirate Lass outfit!"

I bought my infant son a pirate costume for his first Halloween this year and I knew that I wanted to dress up with him in a matching costume but didn't want to spend a fortune. When I found this costume, I knew I had found "the one". Good looking and super affordable? Yes please! When I finally got my package, I immediately tried it on. The top fits great but it shows quite a bit of your belly, which I didn't like since I still have a bit of extra weight leftover from my pregnancy. The skirt part was a bit too big/too loose for me. Since the top was a little too short on me, I pulled the skirt over my belly to cover it up and tied the sash around my waist like in the stock photo and it worked out quite well. It helped keep the too big skirt on and also helped hide my belly more. The material the costume is made out of produces a lot of static so you definitely want to take care of that before the big night out. Overall, this was a good purchase and I can't wait to wear it on Halloween.

Great Costume, Great Price
I purchased this to wear for "Pirate Day" at my son's school. I am in my mid 30s and wear a size small. I did not feel like this costume was too "young" for me and I ordered a small and it fit perfectly. It was not too revealing and despite the thin material, I found that it was actually well made (for a costume). The skirt is a bit sheer, but not so much that anything is exposed. Add the red/white bandana around the waist and your all set. The skirt is separate from the top, so you can adjust just how long (or short) you want it by simply rolling it at the waist. The sleeves can be worn on top of the shoulders for less reveal or as seen in the pic for a bit more sass. I paired it with my own boots, some silver mardi-gras style beads and big hoop earings. The black bandana/headband can be adjusted and worn to your liking. Recently, my friends daughter needed a pirate outfit for a dance routine and even though she is much smaller than me (only 11 yrs old) She was able to adjust and modify this costume (without sewing) and it even looked great on her! Very versatile!!

Mala calidad :(
Muy mala calidad, luego de una hora de tenerlo puesto, se comenzó a romper la blusa, y a despegar parte de la imitación de cuero. La talla estuvo un poco mas pequeña de lo esperado. El disfraz traía todo lo q dice en la descripción.
