Good, provided you have reasonable expectations based on the design.

Read a LOT of other reviews before purchasing. First off, this bottle is just like any cup you drink using a straw. You CANNOT tilt it back and drink, otherwise you're gonna get covered with liquid. You wouldn't think I'd have to say this, but saw so many reviews complaining about this fact. There the straw (with integrated filter) goes all the way down to the bottom of the bottle. There is a small air hole at the top to let air in to the bottle so suction doesn't build up. Again, if you try to "pour" water out, or "tilt" your head back to drink, this is the wrong bottle for you. Also keep in mind that because there is a filter inline with the straw, you will have to suck the water harder than using a plain straw... I don't see any way around this if you want to filter the water. If the water went really easily through the filter, I'd be suspect that the filter was actually doing anything. When first using the filter, I would rinse it out really well to remove loose carbon. If you put the filter in dry, and try drinking, you will suck up a LOT of air at first. Once the filter gets wet, there will be a lot less air when you first drink... BUT water will drain back out of the filter... so if the bottle sits for a while, when you take that first drink, again you'll get a good bit of air till the filter gets wet. Maybe if there was a check valve below the filter, it would prevent this, but that would be one more thing to get funky dirty and hard to clean. Overall the filter does a decent job removing chlorine and improving the taste of TAP WATER. Don't expect a miracle. This filter does NOT remove bacteria and viruses. And it's not going to make every fill of nasty/gross water taste like Evian. It "improved" the flavor to a certain degree, so have reasonable expectations. I found the SLOWER you drink the better the end result. The bottle absolutely keeps the water COLD for a long time, so the double wall vacuum is the real deal. The strap on the top lid seems well constructed with sturdy rivets holding it on. I'm not sure that long term I would hang it by the strap, and it could put stress on clip that holds the lid down to the bottle.

Must buy for travelers

This bottle is awesome! My son goes college in CA. I had already heard how bad the tap water is there and he had been complaining about the water in the dorm and its taste too. For the first quarter he bought bottled water but following quarter I bought him this and he loves it. Haven’t wasted money on bottled water since then. I was in india last week and took this with me. I usually stick to bottled water so that I don’t fall sick, but this time I didn’t buy a single water bottle. I used already filtered water though. My daughter took it on school trip and didn’t have to buy water. Cleaning and replacing filter replacement is very easy. I recommend this product to everyone who loves traveling.

Absolutely amazing, but a couple things…

No need to get the plastic version when this version exists. *My personal experience after 2 weeks* Insulation on this bad boy is legitimate. I’ll pour fridge cold water into before bed and keep it by my bed side and some nights I don’t need water and it’ll be frigid cold 8-10 hours later and it’s rated for 24hr insulation. No need for ice. Water only. Make sure to keep track of when you start using your filter and replace at 60 days. When you first get a new filter, run lukewarm water gently through it for a least a couple mins, nothing too long. Clean your gear every couple days. It’s nice you have clean things and hygiene is also vitality. I’ll take my filter out and place it on paper towels, standing up to drain while I use soap and water and clean everything else, especially the mouth piece and cap because I’ve seen other reviews of mold build up but that has to be extreme cases, so clean every couple days or whatever; just make sure to clean often. Be careful with the cap. It’s a solid plastic cap, however the spring hinge is also plastic, so I would absolutely advised against any force exerted over a long period of time on the handle to get you more life out of it. I only handle this entire container by picking it up by the sides only; never touch the lid unless I press the button to open. I also use my pointer finger to place behind the cap on the hinge, so when the cap snaps back on open, I reduce the swing angle to again conserve on longevity. If you start swinging this thing around solely by the handle, I don’t see it lasting long. Buy this thing. It’s awesome, water is always cool and crisp, and it’s actually so fun to use and maintain this thing that I been drinking so much more water. 9/10 - would be perfect score, but more development is needed on the cap because a plastic hinge isn’t sturdy and lasting in my opinion.

Works Great!

For me the most important thing is drinking clean water. I definitely appreciate the filter of this water bottle as I am much more confident when putting any type of water into my body when using this. The mechanism works well every time and works as it should. 5 Stars for me

It's just great

As opposed to the brita jugs which are great you can drink from this bottle immediately and is great to have near you. I use to get stuck without water when I used bottles and now i can just fill it and take it anywhere. The bottle build is perfect. I gave 4 out of 5 to east to drink but i guess in every bottle with filter there will be this extra pull at first. As for cleaning well.. it's unreachable by hand and not brush so, find a way to clean it yourself

Stays cold even longer than 24 hours

I bought the mini ice cube set ,make tap H2O ice and just refill H2O as needed . Fits in cupholder.very happy.everyone is getting one for a present.85 degrees and only half thru April.

I live in the Mojave and it gets in over the 100s regularly, this bottle keeps my water full of ice even when outside for long periods and filters it too. Very refreshing water ????

Good bottle

My husband needed a bottle which could hold warm water throughout the day and be easily refilled. The only issue is that it is too big to refill in a bathroom sink (which is why we had purchased one with a filter) but it is a nice colour, durable and holds temperatures fairly well.

Love love love it!

I always go for Brita filtered water bottles as my home tap water tastes too strong for me and their filters never disappoint. However, in the UK, I've found it really hard to find a water filter bottle that is more than 500ml! I did originally have a "Fill and Go" 1 litre bottle, but it wasn't very attractive and when I put it in the dishwasher, it acquired a bad taste even after I rewashed it by hand several times. Therefore, I looked online for a Brita bottle that was more aesthetic and larger than 500ml and found this! Not only does this design fulfil both of these criteria - it also keeps you water nice and cool for a long amount of time which is an added bonus! The only down side to this bottle is the straw means it can be hard to drink if you are lying down in bed, as you have to sit upright (but not end of the world!) and also its a little heavy as its metal - but i suspect if you wanted a lighter version, just go for the plastic options and forgo the cooler temperature the metal one provides. Great bottle and only took a few days to arrive from the US!

Everything you need!

So happy with this product. I wanted an insulated water bottle that could also be filtered and couldn't find many options on the market. Eventually I ordered this from the US and am so happy with it, it feels really premium and looks great too. The taste is as you would expect from Brita and it isn't a chore to drink from at all. I would love for the replacement filters to be in stock from UK suppliers on Amazon though!

Useless

Don’t bother with this . The idea is great and it works for a few mouthfuls of water , however getting anything through that straw is impossible , leaving so much water left in the bottle.
