Don't use to lock up anything important or valuable

This is a low security warded lock and an overpriced one at that. When I say low security, I mean it has a single lock actuator and is quickly bypassed even without warded lock picks (took me about 15 seconds to figure it out after unboxing). For a little bit more money, get yourself a brinks pin tumbler lock or better yet an ABUS 55/40.

Why 5 STARS? Am I crazy? Let me explain.

The lock itself is sturdy. And being a warded lock it'll last outside and still work ok. The price is a bit steep for a warded lock. Now about those 5 STARS....why.... It's actually really simple....education....what's education got to do with it you ask..well... Imagine giving this lock to your kid asking him/her to open it , they try and try and it's difficult without the key.....now you hand them a warded lock pick and show them how to use it....they try and it opens right up....the smile they give of accomplishment and learning something new....something many people don't know....and the curiosity of how other things work....different locks and how to use them and how they work....that's education. And that's worth 5 stars . In our area warded locks are hard to find....strange but true....so ordering this one...was necessary.... Would I use it for anything important. Definitely not. But here's one thing most people get wrong.....just because we might know how to open it easily doesn't mean everyone does....so yes it's insecure to us....but hand it to an average person and to them it's pretty much fort Knox....no idea how it works....hand it to your kid and show them how to open it without a key....and you get curiosity and knowledge....and as I said....that's worth the 5 stars....
