8-10 for 7 year old
I ordered the 8-10 for my 7 year old who is of typical size and it fits her comfortably and isn’t noticeably big on her. I thought the sleeves looked long in the photos, but they’re regular/normal size. I haven’t washed it yet but I got one of this and one of the other option by Bloch that’s not made of cotton to have some options. I like this one as it’s cotton and my daughter found the other one to be softer.

2-4 size is a bit big for my 27 months old baby boy, but I'm okay with it because the more important thing is ballet shoe size. The textile is somethat thicker than I expected, maybe it's because it's a cotton based.

Fit's like a charm
I bought this for my daughter who is 3 yrs old. She is 38 inches and 30 lbs. Fit's like a charm. I bought the 2/4T. My daughter is on the slim side, so for a chunkier child, I'd recommend the next size up.

Runs small otherwise perfect!
Material is stretchy but not to "loose" if that makes sense. Is thin and fits a lil small so make sure to go a size bigger.
