Great machine!

Great brewer all around. Super easy to use and quick. The only issue is when you open the top to fill the reservoir the condensation on the underside of the lid drips down behind the unit onto the counter. You have to clean it up each time. Very small problem though.

Best tasting coffee!

I have had Black and Decker coffee makers in the past, and I ordered this one to replace my Black and Decker coffee maker that is about 4 years old and started getting some age on it, still works however and is being saved just in case there is a need for it. In my opinion the flavor of the coffee comes out great. You have the option of selecting the brew strength but I don’t think you necessarily need to do that. The coffee stays nice and hot in your cup even after adding your cream to it and the longevity of their products are hard to beat. I really liked the style too, the stainless on it is a nice touch and goes with my appliances and it makes it look a bit fancier too. I recommended this coffee maker to a friend and they bought one and love it too! Very satisfied with my purchase and I will probably always have a Black and Decker.

Makes coffee.

Dislike #1 the fact that you can’t see how much water to add unless you use the carafe #2 when you add water it spills unless you really pay attention while adding it, because you have to add it to the sides on top.#3 the filter holder makes a mess when emptying the grounds, because unless you hold the handle on it back it catches the filter. #4 hard to see the clock/ timer unless you use a flashlight or well lit area. I’m learning what to avoid. It works well, makes coffee easily, not quickly, keeps it hot for 2 hours, and is easy to turn on. Okay for the price. I had to replace my Mr. Coffee maker after 9 yrs of daily use. As with anything you have to use it a few times to figure out what’s best for you. I truly would recommend something else, but I’ll keep this as, at least it works.

Great Inexpensive Drip Coffee Maker

Replacement for a wretched Keurig. The trick is not being afraid to have to work on getting your mix dialed in. Too much water - too little coffee etc . . . Definitely buy Fresh Ground Coffee. Trader Joes sells whole bean coffee and a provides a grinder that allows you to choose the grind size. You'll figure it out and be rewarded in the end.

Clock problems

I have had to send this back twice for a broken clock. It seems others have encountered similar problems. In fact, the clock on my latest one does not work properly, but I like the coffee maker itself enough that I am not going to bother backing it up and sending it back again. I particularly, like the unit's ergonomics. The carafe is well balanced and easy to handle and the unit quickly makes good coffee. Fortunately, I do not rely on the clock feature.

Decent coffee pot, it does the job However,

Even though I gave the 3 graded options (Flavor, Easy to Use, and Value for Money) that Amazon offered 5 stars, I grade the coffee pot 3 stars for 2 reasons. 1. The top of the unit as well as the surface under and surrounding the coffee filter holder collects lots of moisture. This moisture then drips down on the hot plate portion of the unit when you remove the pot to serve coffee. 2. The digital display is not illuminated making it hard to read the time and functions selected. Overall it's a coffee pot with some good features and does the job.

durable

best, durable coffee maker i've owned,period. 6 years old and still going. pot is strong and never replaced. i seen a really good deal on a new one and going to use it when the old one gives up. recommend!

Want my old one back!

This is a fairly basic coffee maker. The one thing that I don't like is that it difficult to see how much water has been added to the machine. My old one had a clear side so you could easily see but this one is solid on the sides forcing me to stand on tip-toe and try to see inside the reservoir.
