A Power Tool for Powerful Cleaning

The build quality is very sturdy: the components are made of thicker plastic than expected and the connections between the components are very rugged. It feels like this vacuum will stand up to a beating and be perfect for use in a garage/machine shop. The battery is easily removable and works with the Black & Decker Power Connect power and lawn tools ecosystem. A fully charged battery lasted about 25 minutes while using in the max setting for about 80% of the time, so decent Battery life. Battery charged from packaging to fully charged in about 2 hours it seems. The 3 suction settings are all pretty powerful. The minimum setting is on par with the Dyson V8 and the max is stronger than the Dyson V8, with the middle setting falling right in the middle of those 2. All three settings had no trouble sucking in debris, dog hair and dust. The highest setting seemed to suck in about and inch and half away from the floor head. The debris/dust canister is easy to remove and empty. The filter is also easy to remove and clean quickly when required. The motorized floor head rivals the designs of Dyson. It includes a brush head with alternating spiraled bristles and squeegee. The brush head is removable for easy cleaning. Lights really help to spot dust and debris! The rear of the motorized floor head has a soft-glide strip to prevent debris from escaping an pass on the floor. The motor of the brush head can be disabled while using the motorized floor head by pressing a button on the top near the canister, perfect if you have frayed rugs or tassels. The motorized floor head even has a upright locking position that is easy to engage and disengage if you suddenly need to stop vacuuming. It comes with the anticipated accessories for a stick vacuum. You get a 2-in-1 bristled/scope brush head that lets you use it as a traditional hand vacuum, a crevice tool to get thin spaces, and even a upholstery pet brush with rubber teeth for getting fur out of furniture, carpet or cars. Perfect for a quick clean of your car, garage, or spot cleaning in the house.

I've never owned a cordless stick vacuum, so be aware that I'm pretty easily impressed. I came from a big bulky corded vacuum (that still has its purpose for deeper and longer run-time. In terms of it being the absolute BEST vacuum? No, but there's still a lot to really love about it: 1)The ability to stand up on it's own without having to lean it or lie it down, 2)the LIGHT! Yes, the light is super useful, even in a room with a light on, I hadn't realized how much subtle cat hair I saw with the light. 3)good for multiple surfaces! I tried this on the bedroom carpet, bamboo wood floors, and a rug and it went through on all surfaces without any issues. 4) easy to carry, had no issues moving it throughout different rooms and up and down the stairs. 5) very flexible movement, it took some getting used to personally just because I'm used to a fixed head, but I liked it! Some of cons I found: 1)The weight is the handle and it’s a bit heavy so I did have to keep switching hands. 2) The instruction manual is absolutely terrible. If you like looking at teeny pictures with arrows pointing then, maybe you'll like it? Would have preferred a quick start manual. Finally, the way to empty the container is a bit too clunky for my taste, it’s fine to remove but personally it’s a bit of pain to put it back. It’s still not TOO terrible, but i personally had a learning curve. I have found that laying down the vacuum is easier for me to snap it back into place. But, I hope with more use I will get it down and it won't be such a process. 3) the collection bin is small, but I think that's a sacrifice made for keeping it as light as possible. Also, these stick vacs are not meant for hours and hours of cleaning time, so I think it's acceptable. My tip would be to charge it up every time you are done cleaning in preparation for the next day’s cleaning. All in all, I'm very satisfied with this product and plan to use it daily, Great product and I do recommend it!

It works well

This has been a great reminder of just how poor my housekeeping skills are. :-) The first time I used it I completely filled the dust container in only a few minutes. That tells me the cheap robo-vac I had been using on my floors wasn't doing a very good job, and also that this did do a good job of cleaning up what was left behind. I like that I can seamlessly transition from hard floors to carpet and it works well on both. No need for multiple vacuums with this thing. Battery life is solid and since it uses a standard Black and Decker tool battery you should be able to get a replacement whenever the battery does eventually degrade. That's nice to know. Based on my use so far I'm not sure the battery would last if I tried to do my entire house in one go, but I was able to do quite a bit of it without the battery dying. The battery will significantly outlast the capacity of the dust container too, so expect to empty it a couple of times between charges. The killer feature for me, as someone who has only used corded vacs before, is the portability. I might actually vacuum my stairs now since it's so much easier to do with this. It's also nice that I can spot clean all of the high traffic areas without needing to move a plug from place to place. I'm very happy with this and if you're in the market know that it will work well for you.

Great For Use As A Vehicle Vac

We have a Shark vac that does a great job. We only have one room with carpet and the Shark cleans it thoroughly while its HEPA air filtration keeps the dust out of the air. I grabbed this Black & Decker vac to have a cordless option for various hard to reach places around our home plus our vehicles. This vac is thoughtfully designed and is very sturdy. The battery will last 20 to 30 minutes, depending on your uses... and it takes 2 to 3 hours to fully charge. Operation is simple and intuitive, though the included manual leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t have any other B&D cordless products, but the battery with this vac is interchangeable with the B&D Power Connect products. I gave it test by vacuuming my F150 pickup and it did a great job. I will probably keep this in my garage since I imagine my main use will be our vehicles.
