Trying different razors to find 'The One'...this isn't it

It's a handle with a blade cartridge. I've used similar before. Recent changes in the razor industry seem to be moving toward thicker handles. I was using Schick razors, but got to where I couldn't stand the stubby triangular cross-section of their razors (threw them out). And I don't use Gillette since they've decided to change their business model to one of woke self-aggrandizement. (I was looking for 'the best a man can get' and instead, I got the message that, in Gillette's eyes, I'm a toxic, sub-human brute with no possibility of redemption. Gee, thanks Gillette.) I've tried these, but while better than the Schicks, they still have their quirks. The handle is still a bit thick (I can't slip it into my razor/toothbrush caddy). And while the handle is somewhat textured, it gets slick when wet. Also, the cartridges are a bit narrow (I have a wide-ish face). As for the shave itself, no problems. I like razors with pivoting heads, which this one has. And it shaves close. Folks who mention that they cut themselves up using it should probably seek out a class at their local community college on the manly art of the proper shave. (Hint: There are a thousand different ways to do it, you just need to find the one that works for you. You don't need shaving cream or soap. I use Aveeno moisturizer with sun block, and can shave three times a day with no problems - and have.) Conditionally recommended. YMMV.

Not good after one shave, they dull fast

After one shave the blade dulls… I was expecting at least 2 or 3 uses

Honest review, not very impressed.

The brand, price and reviews were good so I expected this would be a great product. Unfortunately there are a couple issues. Due to the small price, I didn't bother to return. 1. I'm not impressed with how well the blades cut, takes a lot of repetitive passes and skin scraping to get it all. This is compared to other name brand razors for men. It gets the job done, but takes longer. It's almost like the blades are dull, angled wrong, or too close together to catch thick facial hair. Strange thing is, the blades feel sharp on my finger tips, but don't do super good on my facial hair. This is the big one for me: 2. This may not apply to some people, but I know im not alone here, I'm a "tapper" lol. I run a pass or two on my face, then hold the blade head under the faucet for a short time, and then tap it against the side of the sink (3 light taps) to free any hair from the blades. And repeat! That works well with most razors, but not with this particular product, the blade head continously falls off. Bottom line, if you are a "tapper", avoid this particular model. That is my honest (didn't get nothing for free) review of this product. Hope it helps other tapper, you know who you are. Own it, be proud!
