Shape sorter

This item was being used in a therapy session and our child really liked it. I was excited to find it at amazon

So fun and vintage!

I remember having this toy as a child and it brings me such nostalgia to see my daughter play with it! My 18 month old loves the sound the shapes make when they go in. She needs helping knowing which hole each shape goes in. She also loves blowing on the shapes by themselves as they make a great noise then too.

BEST shape sorter toy!

Makes sounds as shapes drop through the tubes & babies love it! My 9-month old grandson unintentionally “blows” into the shapes & makes the noises that way, too!

Not enough pieces

This item came with only 3 shapes! 1 triangle, 1 square, and 1 circle! Do not buy it. Buy another share sorter with more pieces.

So many good details

It was exactly what I thought it would be! It will be great for tummy time (can stand on either end, and can roll/be pushed), working on object permanence (would need a towel or burp cloth to wrap around the clear section), cause and effect (sound is made when bear goes down, bear can't go down until bear goes in), development of the schema of "inserting objects," counting (by 1, by 3), matching shapes (each bear and hole is a different shape, and each set of 3 beads on a rod is a corresponding shape— square, circle, triangle), expression/feelings (socioemotional learning— the bear faces are sad, happy and surprised), signing (bear, happy, sad, blue, pink, green, orange, white, "what colour?"). Glad it was on sale, so I pounced on it and almost bought 4 for every baby I know! Luckily, I left some for everyone else :)!

Best Shapes Sorter

This is the best shapes sorter out there. I'm glad they still make it. Have been using one for a decade or more. Good intrinsic value for the child as he/she is rewarded immediately by the fun sounds when the correct shape is placed

Good toy but can be annoying

My son has a blast with this toy but once it figured out he can blow in the shapes like a whistle to make noise I have to limit how long he can play to prevent noise complaints.

Great toy, makes cool sounds

It’s a great toy for my toddler, the only problem is the triangle keeps getting stuck in it so we have to hit its upside down on a couch to get the triangle to slide out. Other than that, it’s a nice toy to have for any kid

Entertaining

Bought it for my 1 year old and it was a hit. When you put shapes in, it makes a noise and even my 4 year old finds it entertaining. Seems sturdy and good quality.
