They work exactly as they should

I need to keep my humidity at a higher level due to getting nose bleeds in the past. And you change them out twice a year during the Winter in Ohio or our furnace runs continuously pretty much from late October until the end of April.

Perfect OEM fit & replace once a year

I just moved into a new house and it had an Aprilaire humidifier on the furnace. I took a look at the filter and it looked like it was completely covered/clogged with mineral scale so I ordered this replacement. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and discovered the filter looks like that new! I'm guessing the 'scale' is some sore of anti fungicide/bacrerial/mildew so we don't die of Legionoella. Despite likely being uneccessary, the new filter fit perfectly and is working well. Install is simple and took 5 minutes without any additional tools required so I'm good to go for another year!

Hard to find these original Aprilaire panels in the store, so I was glad to find them reasonably priced on Amazon. For just a few dollars more than the generic versions, you get the original replacement panel that fits perfectly, without the leaks or "antimicrobial" coatings that some generics have. (Aprilaire Customer Service confirmed that they do not use such chemical additives in the panels they manufacture). Also, I find the Aprilaire panels last longer - I can use one for several seasons by soaking it in a solution of warm water and vinegar before the start of each heating season (and rinsing well before reinserting). And they don't give off the musty odour that some of the generics do when new.

This product is very simple. slid it in the frame and let it do its job. This OEM product cost a little more than the 3rd party ones but t does seem to fit better. Worth the small extra cost.
