good frames

This is my third order of American Flat frames. First two orders were perfect. These frames had one good hanger with teeth to hang on a nail. The other one had a U shaped hanger that simply did not work with a nail. If not for that these would have all 5 stars. If they can send me a good hanger I will change my review. Update: Although the frame company could not help me, Amazon did! They sent a replacement frame for the one that fell off the wall and got chipped. Thank you, Amazon.

nice and sleek

I wanted to replace a picture frame as every other frame in my room is a black frame such as this. It worked perfectly and has been on my wall ever since. I gave it three stars on value for money as frames all together are too pricy especially online.

Sturdy Frame

This is my second purchase from AmericanFlat. After trying a competitor’s frame, I am convinced that this company sells durable, high-quality products that work well. I received hanging hardware to hang my art on the wall, or I can stand it on a table. The clip, wire, and easel flap are made of good materials. The frame came with a quality mat at the right dimensions. 5 Stars!

Sizing on matte incorrect

So, these are beautiful frames but for sizing be aware. It says with matte displays 5x7 but the space with the matte is only 5.25x3.5. Also full display area isn’t 8x10 it’s 8.5x6.5 but the frame itself is 8x10 on the outer border. Made it work by putting the image on top of the matte. Still a good value and sturdy nice frames but sizing is wayyy off. Image in the frame is 5x7.5 and as you can see it takes up almost the whole frame.

The frame and mat are exactly as described and the beveled cuts of the mat are perfect. The material is sturdy and the glass is clean. The back board has metal clips that slide into notches in the frame to fasten it in place. The clips are only on three sides. The fourth side of the frame has a groove it's entire length so you insert the back board into that slot, lower the board, then swivel the clips into place. it's a great design because it holds the backboard tight against the mat, clamping the photo in between. The quality of the materials is high. That said, I encountered one problem. The frame is assembled from 4 pieces, joined at mitered ends. One of my large frames (sized for an 8x10 w/ mat) was simply not fastened at one corner. The frame was sent beautifully padded in bubble wrap and the box was undamaged. I didn't feel like returning it because there were no cracks and the glass wasn't damaged and I was giving a framed photo to my wife as a gift two days later. I clamped the frame and drilled a small hole through both pieces and drove a very fine finishing nail in with some glue and it's perfect. The vendor AMFLAT sent me several appropriate emails letting me know the product had shipped and then asking how i liked the product and asked if there were any issues but I never gave them an opportunity to replace it. Based on their eager communications and what seemed to be great customer service I have to imagine they would've replaced it immediately but I have no idea. For me it was a very minor inconvenience. I actually like this product so much that I'll absolutely continue to buy all my frames from them for quite a while.

Nice Frame!

The frame’s quality is high enough for its price, it includes instructions of hanging it on the wall if you needed to. I used the frame as a gift for my brother and it didn’t fail me. The picture I drew looks great behind the glass frame! Love it!

The back of the frame has no structural integrity causing the frame to not be able to stand up.
