very nice looking

Once the faucets were installed it is very difficult to work the plug. I can barely get my hand in back of faucet to pull the lever...I have relatively small hands...I may replace them

Bathroom Faucet

Not as described. Had to have my installer go out and buy a replacement. Then I had to take it in to Kohl’s to ask for a refund.

Well built, elegant design, easy to install, EPA WaterSense certified!

I bought this faucet to replace our old Moen bathroom faucet that was incredibly old and outdated, and didn't match the style of our updated kitchen, so I decided to give American Standard a try this time around. American Standard build quality is superb as always and does not disappoint. It's a simple single handle faucet that looks classy and elegant without any fancy unnecessary details. Installation was easy. It was remarkably simple and anyone who has ever installed a bathroom faucet can do it in 30 minutes as long as the workspace under the sink is cleared and you can get in there to tighten it up. Just make sure it sits flush and centered and you should be good to go. It is usually a bit tricky to get in between the sink and the back of the cabinet, but the included tool makes things a lot easier, which is a nice touch from the manufacturer. The package included all the plumbing connections you'll need. The water line connection hoses are all metal braided and long enough to make the connection without straining the line. The only tool I really needed was a wrench to tighten the water supply line connection heads and to tighten the faucet mounting nut. I want to note that this faucet uses cable connection to operate the drain plug and it's so much easier to install vs usual rod connection and operates so much smoother you wouldn't believe it. It's compatible with one- or three-hole installations, and the matching 3-hole base plate cover is included. We were doing a replacement for another single-handle Moen faucet, so I did not need to use the base plate. It's been less than a month since I installed it and so far, there are no problems and no water leaks. It works flawlessly, water flow and temperature regulation are smooth and easy to adjust. The sprayer also works as it should, producing a nice uniform shower. What I like the most about this faucet is that it's modular, if one of the parts breaks, it's easy to replace. If there are problems with the nozzle, then it can be replaced in one minute, if you need to replace the cartridge, you can remove it from the faucet with bare hands. So, future maintenance should be no problem when you take into account the great no-question lifetime warranty from American Standard. Plus, it is EPA WaterSense certified to help save water without sacrificing performance, perfect for California droughts! *** TL;DR *** Yes, I most definitely recommend this American Standard faucet. It's a great simple faucet with excellent features that looks classy and elegant. It was easy to install and works perfectly. All operations are smooth, the sprayer pattern is excellent, and it's EPA WaterSense certified to help save water without sacrificing performance. Solid 5 stars! +++ Pros +++ 1) It is very well built and looks great. 2) Modular design, everything can be replaced in minutes. 3) The kit includes everything you need to install the faucet. 4) All controls work smoothly. 5) Uniform sprayer pattern. 5) EPA WaterSense certified. 7) Lifetime warranty! --- Cons --- None that I can think of.

Impressive Water Pressure

This faucet has a few incredible features. First of all, I am so impressed by the look of the faucet. It is elegant and sleek; the matte black color is stainless and resistant to watermarks which are perfect for a bathroom sink because I swear these are always getting stained up with dirty water from makeup and toothbrushing! Additionally, I can tell the matte finish is high quality because it doesn’t scratch or flake off even when we were messing with this quite a bit to install it. The water pressure is also incredible. It is easy to adjust the force with the handle that is smooth and temperature sensitive. The holes where the water comes out to have special filters on them to ensure the quality of the water is the best it can be. The problems with this faucet are in the installation. The installation is much more difficult with this faucet than many others on the market, especially if you are using it as a replacement for another. The reason for this is that the tubes that go from the faucet to the waterline are extremely thick and unadjustable (one of them is much longer than it needs to be so it has to be tucked into itself for storage purposes). The directions are pretty good in that it uses steps to walk you through the process chronologically, but there are still a ton of steps to follow and more if you are doing a replacement. The good news is that once it is installed, it sits flush on a base and there is no leakage and it can start up right away. This is well worth the hassle for the beautiful look and functionality of the device, but it is tricky to install. I recommend it to anyone with installation experience!
