The only down side is you better have saved your tiny hex locking screw !! But the Handel is a great replacement match

No Set Screw

It didn't even come with a set screw. Why would American Standard do that?

The handle breaks inside.

This is the second time that I have had to replace these handles because the plastic that goes on the actual faucet breaks and it no longer turns the water on and off. i'd say it is a problem with the design from American Standard.

Exact replacement for my old faucet handle

Ordered this handle to replace a handle on an old American Standard Cadet 2 handle bathroom faucet (greater than 10 years old). Although I did not have the part number, I took a chance that it could replace my old handle which broke. With the existing adapter, it fit perfectly and looks exactly like my old one. I purchased a 2nd one to replace the hot water handle which is still operational but could also fail since they are made of plastic.
