Solid unit

This is the second one of these devices I have purchased (the first one is under a different brand, but same device: is about 3 years old and still going strong). My only dislike is the control knob label is very small and difficult to read. Works as described.

Exact Replacement

I installed my fountain nearly 5 years ago and this transformer was on daily the entire time. When I needed to replace it I thought it would be a hassle finding the same model. This is exactly the same model I have been using so it took only seconds to swap them out and have the lights in my fountain working as new. A great product, timely delivery and a happy wife! A Win, Win, Win!!!

Does not work for Better Homes & Gardens Quickfit

I bought this transformer based on an answer from the manufacturer in the Q&A that they were compatible with BG&H lights. The connection is clearly different so that they would not be compatible with this transformer. Picture provided for other planning on using the same lights. Otherwise the transformer seems like a good quality, but will not work for my lights.

Replacing a previous Alpine transformer

I had to replace a previous Alpine transformer that I had bought from a fountain specialty store in our area at the same time that we had bought a large concrete fountain for our entry courtyard. The sensor had failed for the lights after four years. This one works fine with essentially the same functionality as my previous version. The nice thing was that I was able to find the replacement on Amazon without some fantastic hassle in trying to search for a replacement. The functionality is all I want, and if I get four or five years from this one I will be happy.

So far so good- I bought this as a replacement for the very same transformer that died after tiny ants got in and built a nest inside- it was packed with the little buggers and was not salvageable. Hope this one proves to be a little more ant-proof. It is working well, and the photocel feature works perfectly. UPDATE: Almost two years in and working perfectly. Thought this bit of news might help someone make up their mind to purchase. UPDATED UPDATE: It’s now 2021, nearly five years in, and this little transformer is still working perfectly. Great value for the money.
