PROs: --It looks like the actual picture. --Good looking, mid-century modern design. --Sturdy, well made, good quality. --Paint is a flat black - not shiny. --Easy to assemble (only 1 person needed). --Priced reasonably, if cheaper, the quality would suffer (you get what you pay for). CONs: If CONs were eliminated, I'd up my rate to 5 stars --Wish lamp stems had more swivel range, which other reviewers complained about too! At this price, manufacturer could have done so. --The brown faux wood (plastic) handles are disappointing - should be wrapped in brass to look mid-century. --Packaged in POOR quality Styrofoam that disintegrated upon opening & flew everywhere. Kitchen looked like a blizzard of miniscule, static balls that clung to me, floor & cabinets -- GRRR! To this day, I'm still picking up tiny pieces. (Note to manufacturer: use better Styrofoam .)

Beautiful and well made!

I *LOVE* the design of this lamp. It looks even better in person than it does in the photos. It is solidly built, out of very high quality parts. This is not a bunch of cheap stamped pot metal like most of the light fixtures on Amazon. The lamp has a 4-way switch that allows either light to be turned on independently, or both on, or both off. It is a small rotary switch set in the base of the lamp. The switch only turns one way, and it is a bit "eager," meaning that it sometimes overshoots the next position when it clicks into place. Every once in a while, this necessitates going through all 4 positions again to get it to the desired setting, hence 4 stars. Yours may not have this issue. The shades look great, but the shape and size is such that if you tilt one light so it is rotated toward you, such as pointing at a paper on your desk, part of the bare light bulb will be visible and cause glare. This is due to the "scoop" design on the rim of the shade. To avoid this, you can use a shorter light bulb such as a G16 globe bulb. The bulbs do not show with the shades pointed down, so if you leave them in this orientation, you can use a standard bulb with no issues. Lastly, the lamp is bigger than you think. This is neither good nor bad, but just something to be aware of. It is nearly two feet tall, and probably a foot wide at the widest. If you use it as a desk lamp, be sure that you have the space.

Stylish mid century vibe lamp

The media could not be loaded. It's a great looking lamp would say it's a bit overpriced after getting it and but for the style i'm keeping it. Ok the things that could use improving, A multi switch to trigger the lights on in sequence like dim 1 bulb, normal 2 bulb and bright 3 bulb would have been nice. I knew that going in based on other review but wanted to echo the same sentiment. I will be making these smart bulbs shortly so that really isn't a problem. Or maybe a switch per light. The articulation on them isn't as great they don't spin a full 360 so you kinda limited to angles, then the pivot also is limited like maybe 0 degree light pointing directly down and 90 degree light point directly out. It could use more angle say in the negative degree. Make more sense when you are playing with the actual lights. Overall i'm happy with it, could use some more improvement too worth the price they are asking for, you paying for the slightly unique styling more so than the build quality and features. Which aren't bad just could be less cost or better features.

Sleek style, quality product.

I have purchased three of these lamps for their style and quality. From a style perspective, they are sleek and elegant. I placed two of the lamps in my retro/mid-century style office, and the other in a contemporary styled loft, and they fit into the décor of each. The lights are adjustable, so you can direct light in three directions on each lamp. I find the lamps to be sturdy and well-weighted on the bottom so they do not tip over very easily if someone bumps into them. The lamps were easy for one person to assemble, and it took less than ten minutes to do so. They also are easy to clean requiring little more than a dust cloth (I don't use any cleaning products on the lamps themselves.) They are statement pieces that add an interesting design element to each space. I'm very pleased with this product and am glad I purchased three of them.

Excellent design

I looked a long time for a mid-century-ish pole lamp for a reasonable price. The few available original ones are quite expensive. And most of the new ones did not have the specific look I wanted. The shape of the shrouds on this one was exactly what I was looking for. Both the scooped front and the bowtie back end. Just perfect. The nitpicks noted in other reviews are all accurate, but do not matter to me. This is mostly just for looking cool in my mid-mod living room. Those nitpicks: you can't control the individual lights (I get around this by only screwing one bulb in all the way, as I only want one on most of the time); the rotation is limited (as you can tell by the photos, the stem is fixed in place, but they do swivel around that stem).

I love this lamp but...

The pole lamp and the draper desk lamp were exactly what I wanted: fabulous mid century styling, classic black and brushed stainless. However, I was sent a pole lamp that would not screw together AND then I noticed the cord was cut about 3" from the base, which is what many manufacturers will have you do or do themselves for a product that is defective. I purchased in on sale at Thanksgiving and since I really wanted that exact lamp, I tried to get a replacement rather than a refund. No joy. Replacement wasn't allowed and if I was going to order it, I would have to pay the full price. I skipped Amazon for the order because it was their policy according to the notice I was sent that prevented the replacement. The Draper desk lamp is on my end table and is beautiful and functions perfectly. As you can read, the negative aspect is for the pole lamp and the positive comments are for the desk lamp.
