Very pretty

These are really pretty earrings and very well made! I might return them, however, but only because they're a little much for style. Either way, I highly recommend these!

Very Pretty, Simple and Small

These are lovely, made like 1928 in its heyday (as opposed to the rebooted 2028, which I never understood, and for which the designs were less appealing and the materials and construction downscaled). The detail is very nice. The label claims "24-carat gold dipped," whatever that means, but the metal is an appealing color and the pearl drops are a nice quality fake. The earrings are smaller than they appears in the image where they are shown for scale on a silhouette of a woman. Smaller than hoped for, but I am keeping them as they are a time-sensitive gift and overall it looks good. I share the concerns of other reviewers about the shipping. One would think a jewelry seller could invest in a small box. The earrings arrived wrapped in what looked like shrink wrap, inside a small plastic zip-lock bag, and mailed in a slighty-padded envelope. Happily, they were not broken (as was the experience of another reviewer), but that seemed more luck than planning. I also purchased, from another seller, a matching circular brooch with the small pink roses, clusters of tiny pearls and gold leaves in a wreath design (also smaller than the silhouette image indicated, also pretty nevertheless). They look good together, although the set became more expensive than hoped for.

I bought my original pair of these earrings for my birthday, and they are GORGEOUS! The roses are smaller than I anticipated, but they are very dainty and do not overpower the earlobe. I actually prefer their actual size than how I envisioned. The roses are just beautifully made. They even have a little green area to represent a leaf! Each petal is distinct and delicate, and the pink colour compliments the roses perfectly. The pearl drop is very classy, not too big or small. The posts are made of surgical steel, making them hypoallergenic and absolutely perfect for my sensitive ears. I have had no reaction at all, even when perspiring with these earrings. You really cannot go wrong with this pair of earrings. When I took them off after the first time I wore them, one earring fell onto the ceramic tile floor, and the rose petal chipped. The chip didn't look too much like a chip, and could have been confused as the intended shape of the rose. However, I was unhappy with this as I LOVE these earrings! When I saw them going on sale for $14.99, I unhesitatingly bought two more, just in case I'm careless with them again. Now I have backup pairs!

The earrings are lovely and a good size and drop. The porcelain roses are a soft pink and the pearls look real. I converted mine to clipons and they sit well. They were inexpensive and a good purchase. If you like pretty, then buy them.

Delicate elegance!

I had a slightly larger version of these earrings many years ago and loved them but I lost one, so when I saw these whilst looking at the 1928 jewelry, I decided that I would get them again! These are a little smaller than the original pair but they do very nicely and compliment evening summer attire! I love them as much as the originals!
